Hey Sarah~ WTG with 50lbs!! You are doing great now.

I'm still waiting for a call from Charlene about my date. I called last Tuesday and left a message, but no reply. I call every day and get her voice mail. I'm begining to think she is not returning my call just to torture me!!!

I turned 40 on Saturday. I really thought I would have had surgery and been on the mend by then. My DH had a nice party for me, but I was still sad. I just want my life back. :tongue_smilie:

Lynn~ I hope all went well with your surgery. I'm sending up prayers for a fast recovery.

Hi everyone!!

Angie--Happy BDay! I know that things are not going on a timeline you hoped for, but hang in there! Your 40's are going to be so much better than your 30's...just wait and see. Don't give up on Charlene, call her every day--twice! You are in my prayers!

I saw Dr. Choban today for my consent and final questions. I just love her.

I am not nervous at all. My family friends and coworkers are so supportive. But undoubtably, This web site and all of you have been my lifeline of support -thank you all so much.

I will be at MCW at 1030 and on the table at 1225. And so typical of my body - I started my period yesterday. Nice!

I could decide what to have for dinner tonight - no liquid diet reqiued.

My husband suggest since I have been working out and dieting for so long to enjoy a meal I plan to do without not a pig put but a nice size meal.

By my request my husband is making me pancakes tonight!!!!!

I will email you all on Thursday say a prayer for me.

hi everyone, i havent been around lately. I see lots of new people and lots of lost pounds!

Happy Birthday--Angie---40---you are still a baby!! hopefully you will get the surgery soon.

i see not much has changed at mid ohio surgical. still the same complaints.

after reading posts that dr choban is booked out thru september, i am getting a little concerned. my last visit was in early june and i was told to come back in 3 months. the receptionist said she could not schedule me that far in advance and that they would call me in two months. are they telling others that, too? have they actually called anyone? do you think i will get in during september or am i looking at oct or nov?

the part that kills me is that during orientation a year and a half ago, they emphasized that we had to be committed to routinely seeing the doctor for the rest of our lives. i am beginning to wonder if that committment goes both ways.

on a more positive note---all is fine with me. i really havent lost that much more weight but i feel and look great.

i would love to hit the 100 pound lost mark but it may be awhile. i still have eating issues. lately i have been on a cookie kick. somehow i can eats lots of those! i am not going to lose 13 more pounds eating Cookies everynight.

Lyn--Sending love and prayers to you today! Best luck for a speedy recovery!

Debbie--I would call now!!! I am not sure why they said for you to come back in three months. Are you at your sweet spot? I thought we were getting fills every 6 weeks.

I called over a week ago and left a message about getting in for a fill. My appointment is not for a few weeks and would love to have it a little earlier. (It has already been 7 weeks since my last fill) No one has called me back. I am doing ok, but could really use a little help. I am not feeling much restriction at this point.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

Niki,

I checked my notes a few weeks ago and seem to remember that it said the first year we would check in (for a potential fill) every 6 weeks. In the second year, it's every 3 months. So that may be why they told Debbie 3 months, BUT it's stupid for them then to say, "Well, we can't schedule you that far in advance." Personally, I would have just kept calling back until they finally scheduled me. But you shouldn't HAVE to do that!

I guess Debbie is a year out now, so that makes sense. They should have the ability to schedule three months out, unless they didn't have vacation schedules from the doctors yet. Either way, call now Debbie!

Debbie, Greg and Sue -- good to hear from all of you! I'm on a mini plateau I guess again at 42 lbs and I have a fill appt with Dr. Miller next Thursday on the 24th so I'll be interested to see how much he puts in. There are times I feel restriction and other times not. This will be my 3rd fill. I do notice that I'm more restricted right after exercising but within maybe an hour, then I'm ready to eat! I think I'm going to eat more than I can -- still need a "head adjustment" to think how much food to put on the plate. Its hard to believe tomorrow will already be July 17th - 4 months since 3 of us were banded on March 17th! Time is flying by. I'd love to have my 1 year bandiversary and be down 100 lbs! ...I can dream can't I!!

Thanks for the B-day wishes everyone.

Debbie~ great to hear from you!

Sue~ You are doing awesome. How much would you have lost without your band? 25lbs is great.

Niki~ Thanks for the prayers girlie. Trust me, I'm calling everyday. I have left message after message and still no return call. Whats up with that? I know they said they will return calls within 48 hrs. I really think something needs to change in that area of their practice. I try to be understanding, and I know they are busy, but come on!! It is just rude to ignore phone calls and voice mails. :)

OK, I feel better now.

Hey Angie,

If you haven't tried it already, you might try calling Missy. Her # is 234-2052. You'll probably get her voicemail, too, but maybe she'll call you back. I think maybe her voicemail message gives you the option to page her, as well. Good luck & hang in there, girl! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
