Yep! Look for posts by BigFrank. Also there are forums for support groups by amount to lose, just like there are for region and surgery type. You might also look for 50+ BMI as well as there will probably be a significant overlap. VSG is not only a standalone surgery, but can also be the first part of a two-step surgery called the duodenal switch (DS), which is specifically aimed at people with a very high BMI.

I was 312 when I entered the program, but lost 14 lbs. before surgery. My highest weight was actually a few years ago, but I was at 335 then.

And Im only 5'4. My BMI was 54.

My highest weight was 423. BMI about 54 or so.

At 5 months I am 320# with a BMI of 44. I lost a lot before surgery as well and I have a lot more to go. But what the heck, might as well... can't dance... :-)

My highest weight was 355, that was when I decided to move forward with surgery June of 2012. I lost about 60 lbs pre-op and was just under 300 on surgery day. Today I'm at 204 and never happier. Losing slow now, but I'll take it gladly!

Good luck !

My highest weight was 404. When I started my liquid diet I was 357, 7 months after surgery I'm 260. It's been a great experience.

My highest was 380...one year ago.........176 down and counting!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of me...giggle, giggle!

I started at 379, and am down to 217 after 11 months. Not quite half my total body weight down yet but getting there.

I started at 410. I'm now at 352. I had my surgery 7 weeks ago. My 58 pound lost includes my pre op diet.

I was once 418 and was 362 before surgery. I am now 236 pounds at about 7 and half months from surgery. So yes we are out here.

Started at 340 and am now 224. Lost 45 pre op and 70 post op surgery was on June 25th

I started this year at 416lbs. I am now 256. My goal is to get as close to 175 as possible.

Hi all

My hw was 377.5 sw 353 8 cw 288.6. Surgery was July 29 (16weeks). I'm 6 ft tall.

My highest weight ever was 325 a few years before surgery. I lost about 10 pounds on the pre op diet, but I just roll that into my surgery weight loss because it was only 2 weeks before surgery. I was 305 then, and down 125 pounds now from that weight.
