Not Liking The Changes

Recommended Posts

VerticalSleeve talked worked well. This new format sucks. I missed reading and posting but I hate that I can't see new content. Is that feature going to come back? It is time consuming to go to each folder and see what is new.

I agree - this new website configuration is not enjoyable. I usually manage to get over my irritation at big website overhauls in about a week, but the new format here is not good. Having to click all over the different topic headings to find where the people I follow most are participating is really not fun. And everything is so mixed together, it's confusing.

I just hope they get it together soon and fix this stuff up a bit more - it's ruined the site for me at this point. Oh and the constant flashing outside ads? Completely annoying.

Also, I would have gladly paid a monthly fee to keep VST how it was (without the extra new ads, etc), instead of this mess. I know not everyone would pay but I really liked the old site and really wish it was still the same. Not sure how much longer I'm going to stick around now.

You were filtering the forums and only had a few forums selected. I reset your filter and you should be good to go. You can do this yourself by playing around with the settings on the right hand sidebar once you click on New Content.

Alex - I like that you are pro active. I hope the site improves.

Thank you...it will! Most issues members have been experiencing will be quashed within the next few days. Change isn't easy and it's understandably disorienting for some. We really appreciate everyones patience.

Alex - I sent you a PM asking you to merge my old and new account. Were you able to do it? Thanks

I wonder how many others don't know about the filters. I didn't know I could drill down to specific forums. I just saw the check box options. I am seeing more content now that I went in and selected all lapband forums.

Once the dust settles down and everything is working 100%, we plan on sending an email to all members with a simple tutorial which will explain all the new features added to the site. At the moment we automatically filter your New Content to display only the forums based on the surgery selected in a members patient profile.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
