  • The surgery is no more dangerous than gallbladder surgery. We will be fine. We need to do our part. Follow the directions. Get our heads right. Reach out to support groups / psychologists / forum

  • I thought it would be in January - but I was just scheduled with Dr. Cribbins for Dec. 31 in Plano, TX. I start the pre-op diet in a few days. It will be a happy New Year!

  • I felt the same way. I got the call saying i was approved. The skinny girl inside me started screaming. Oh did i tell you i was approved in 2 days. (In my Wendy Williams whisper). Lol

I was sleeved yesterday (Dec 31, 2013) around 4pm. It went well. I had quite a bit of pain in my tummy as I woke up, but they gave me morphne and it was greatly reduced. I had a good night with the exception of some naeusea when I walked around the room. Will do the leak test today.

I hope all the 30th and 31st sleevers did well!

I did well after surgery to. Only pain in my shoulder from the drain. Very minimal gas pain. Upper GI today. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Sounds like we all did pretty well. Glad to hear it. I had a little gas pain but notHing horrible. The walking has helped. Doing liquids right now. Can start protein drinks again on post op day 3.

Sleeved on 12/24/13. Other than working the gas out of my system, surgery and hospital stay was uneventful. 2 week check up on 1/6/14. Looking forward to being cleared for soft foods. Knock on wood....things have been going great.

Well the surgery went well and hospital stay wasn't bad at all once the anesthesia made it's way out of my system. Barely any pain in the abdomen. Only thing to complain about is that I'm getting the hiccups for long periods of time. Hope everyone else who had their's done on the 31st is doing well.

Good for you!

My sleeve procedure went well, Dr Mir Ali did an awesome job. I want to thank all the nurses at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital for taking case of me, they did a great job taking care of me. Had mild discomfort due to gas and slight pain getting up out of bed at times. Home now on my liquid diet feeling pretty good two days out.... Let the journey continue.

1 month post op today. After a 2 week stall In just lost another 5. That's 25 total! SW 230 CW 205!!!! I can almost taste "one-derland". All restrictions have been lifted I can eat anything healthy and rich in protein, I just have to chew the heck out of it. Hang in there newborns. Its worth the discomfort and hard work!
