  1. HW: 308 lbs SW: 297 lbs CW: 242 lbs GW: 170 lbs 72 lbs to my goal weight! Total weight lost of 66 lbs from my highest weight! I feel great! I'm so excited about the new me. My goal weight actually changed during the course of this journey. After losing 66 lbs and it taking me down 3 clothing sizes, I decided I probably wouldn't like how I looked at my original goal weight which was 150 lbs. I don't strive to be thin. I like having a little thickness to me. So my new goal is 170!
  2. I'm 5'4. I've lost 66 lbs so far and have went down about 3 clothing sizes. I have bat wings!! The loose skin on my arms drive me nuts, but I'm not experiencing it anywhere else. I was terrified of this before the surgery and now I'm learning to deal. Like a lot of others said, weight training is the best cure for it, to tighten it up. I'm progressing towards doing more because it isn't going away as quickly as I like but for the most part I just wear a lot of short/quarter length sleeves as opposed to anything sleeveless. I hope to be able to go sleeveless one day but for now, I'm just glad to feel lighter!
  3. My after!! Had surgery Dec 31st!!! My highest weight was 308 lbs. I'm down 66lbs to 242 and still going. I've had a fews stalls but I don't let them discourage me. I don't really have a goal weight but a goal size. I want to be a 12/14. I'm currently a 16/18 with the weight I've lost so far. My highest was a 24! I just want a normal BMI!

  5. I'm at little under 50 lbs down right now and it feels truly awesome!!! I also can't imagine what a hundred lbs will feel like but I know that it can only get better from here! I absolutely love it. More energy, loose clothes, don't get out of breath so easily! Everything i expected and more!
  6. Hey guys!!! Been awhile since I been on here!! Down 15 lbs from my SW. And down 25 including pre-op!!! People are noticing the lost which feels great and encourages me!!! I'm very proud. Just working on getting my protein, fluids where they need to be!
  7. I'm doing pretty good! :-) Vitamins are going well. So is fluid intake. Not where I need to be on protein but I'm working on it. Trying to keep it consistent. I'm down 15 pounds since surgery. 23 lbs including weight lost pre-op. And people are noticing, which is great and encourages me!
  8. Jaime14, I'm having the exact same issue. I'm 3 days post of. Cramping. I haven't tried warm liquids yet, but so far I feel everything going down. I get a cramp like feeling when whatever it is enters my stomach. I haven't been getting much in at all. So the protein seems like it's going to be a challenge.
  9. I had my surgery yesterday and water and a little Jello is literally all I can get down without pain. I'm thinking this is pretty normal because of my stomach still being swollen, right?
  10. Sounds like we all did pretty well. Glad to hear it. I had a little gas pain but notHing horrible. The walking has helped. Doing liquids right now. Can start protein drinks again on post op day 3.
  11. Thanks guys. Good to know it's not just me. It felt really weird. I'm only drinking out of the little medicine cups so far so I hope I'm not being full yet.
  12. They let me come home about 1 this afternoon. The walking wasn't horrible and I plan on doing some walking around the neighborhood now that I'm home. So glad I did this. No regrets! Thanks for the support guys.
  13. I'm having these pains every now and then that I can only describe as spasms. My stomach tightens up for a minute or so and hurts then it just goes away. Anyone else experienced this?
  14. I'm less than 24 hours post op and am having this same cramping/spasm. Thanks for the info. Good to know it's not just me.
  15. Hi all. Surgery went great! No issues. A lot of gas but I'm hanging in there..walking definitely helping.
  16. Hi all!!!! It happened. Thrilled with my decision to do this. No unbearable pain. A lot of gas. Wish I could sleep better. Morphine not really doing the trick. How is everyone else?
  17. Tomorrow is the day! I'm very excited and not nearly as nervous as I thought I would be. I have my bag all packed and everything I need. Picking up my scripts from the pharmacy today so they'll already be at home when I get there. YAY!!!
  18. Tomorrow is the day!!! I'm super excited. Can't wait to start this new journey. @life2celebrate I was wondering about getting that book on my Kindle as well. I have heard some great things about it. I think I'll get it too!
  19. Just started packing today. I have a few more things to pick up though!
  20. Thanks dreamscometrue!! Following your advice. Been cleaning all day and about to get the laundry done. I have a few 2 oz cups but need to get more. I'm liquid for 3 weeks after anyway though so I won't need them right away. Also started with packing today!
  21. Hey all!! Hope everyone is well. 3 days and counting for me. Soooooo excited!
  22. Love reading your journal @dreamscometrue. It's really inspiring and I think I will journal too once I hit post op. My surgery is Tuesday, the 31st and I am soooo excited. I feel like it's taking forever to get here!
  23. Loved this post!! And definitely need to hear it. Like most of us here, I too was dealing with how others would feel about my decision to have surgery. IT IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS! I made the decision to do this for me and not for anyone else. I'm doing it myself. This process has not been easy. I started in August and my surgery is in a few days. I had to get through Christmas and will have to get through New Years while trying to maintain a liquid diet and showing extreme self control! I'm proud of me and screw whoever doesn't like it... ****vent complete*** LOL
