I am 16 days post op ... suddenly I am so fatigue. Tired. Cant stand up. Cant walk without getting all dizzy and light headed. I feel no energy at all. I feel nauseous and vomited on Water.

I lost total of 42 lb with pre op diet. I am in thick liquid phase. I am allowed to have only milk, Soups and clear juices. I am not allowed to have Protein shakes nor Vitamins of any type.

I take only pariet tablet at night for acidity.

I need help guys :( I totally lost it

Really strange that you are not allowed Protein Drinks. I am willing to bet your not getting enough Protein and such.

Go in to the ER!

My program doesn't allow Protein drinks or Vitamins until week 3/4. They've said its because they reintroduce things in stages to cut down in vomiting and nausea.

I had a class yesterday that went over all the things to look for that are not normal, and the things that are normal. I am with Gomekast you need to go to the ER. Or call the Physician on call at your surgeons office,. I would bet that you are dehydrated! You shouldn't be so weak that you cant stand and your not able to hold things down you need to be seen. I was told as well, that if you are eating the things you are suppose to and you are throwing up.....seek medical attention. Throwing up foods that you can have is not a good thing. I have seen on here that some people say oh its normal....well my surgeon said NO its not normal to throw up foods you should be able to tolerate. I am not sleeved yet but I to cant have Protein until weeks 3/4

Agree go to ER. Sounds like severe dehydration is a strong possibility.

Yep I would bet it's dehydration. How many oz of liquids are you getting in daily? I would def call your dr, they will most likely send u to the ER for fluids. I've been through it twice and have felt better quickly after some iv fluids.

I wasn't allowed Protein until week 3 (even protein shakes) and I agree that you shouldn't throw up foods that you are allowed. I've followed my program and haven't vomited once, I know that is not always normal for everyone but I do think you need to be seen. My surgeon tells a story to all preop folks of one of his WLS pts getting super dehydrated during week three even after being "perfect" at her two week post op visit. It is possible. Be safe and go get yourself checked out

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
