Try Atkins Bars. They are high in Protein and contain no sugar. I eat one of the Choc-oatmeal Fiber bars every day as a snack, since in addition to Protein, I am on a continual Quest for Fiber.

I also eat raw nuts (not roasted as they are cooked in oil and are about as bad as eating potato chips). I like raw pecans, but they are rather dry. Raw cashews have a sweet flavor, and enough good fat to go down easily.

String cheese is a good snack, as are ham roll ups. Take thin sliced deli ham, wrap around thin-sliced Sargento Swiss cheese. You can add a dill pickle spear to the middle if you want.

For yogurt I use Stonyfield Farms Greek yogurt. The plain, 0% fat one. Comes in a 4 pack, each is 4 oz. Mix with powdered fiber, a little Splenda and 1 tsp of sugar-free preserves. If you are near a whole foods they have a delicious line of sugar-free flavors from Dalifor. The blueberry is my fav.

Happy snacking!

There's a thread about this product that people say is tasty. I'm too early to try it but plan on it. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/97322-crunchamame-my-new-love/ {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
