This is completely normal and should stop pretty soon. If it doesn't and you think you are getting dehydrated then I would suggest you call your doctor for the best medication. I would say Imodium but with a new healing you should probably check with your doctor.

Very normal. Same thing happened to me. It got better when I started full liquids. I didn't take anything, just let my body work it out. I think it's our digestive track getting used to the new, smaller stomach.

I just stopped having a couple days ago but I've had complications first I had a bleed I was sleeved on September 10 this year, so doc had to go back in after I first almost died when I code purple and was then rushed back into surgery doc fixed the bleed after taking out 2 units of my blood then transfusing me with 4 units that I had to have so I ended up staying from Tuesday to Friday so I go home still nauseous until two weeks later when I woke up and told my hubby call 911 I felt like I was going to die I'd never been so sick with nausea, lost my muscle strength so I couldn't walk, fever, cold clammy skin, couldn't breath, non stop throwing up and the runs, I just couldn't handle it staying hour after hour being so sick running test after test, MRI with and without contrast then another with dye all the while sicker then ever, ER finally called my surgeon before they did another emergency surgery, turns out I had a severe allergic reaction to the blood I wAs given which can happen and doesn't mean the old was necessarily bad but means my body was trying to fight the blood as a foreign substance causing all the complications this would have not been so bad if my doc would have let me know complications that could happen after a blood transfusion, needleS to stay the misery stopped after two days. What's bad is my starting weight was 188 and I've only gotten down to 173 and have been stuck their ever since. I have a feeling I'm doomed and won't ever lose my remaking 40 lbs, I'm disappointed which is heart breaking I need to know exactly what to eat and drink I walk daily, plus exercise please anyone with advice please HELP ME. I'm willing to try any suggestions feeling sad in arizona, my surgery wAs in Nevada so I've had 0 follow up with dr umbach. :( thanks for listening sleeve family. Anyone else in arizona would like to meet up?

Wow, I'm so sorry for what you have been thru! Don't worry about the weight right now.......Your body needs to adjust to everything that's going on. While in the hospital they pumped you with IV fluids and from being so sick your body goes through an inflammatory response where you retain fluids. I promise the weight will come off. As far as the blood transfusion reaction, I've been an RN for 25 years and I have never seen a reaction like that 2 weeks after getting a transfusion. I'm not saying it's not possible, just that it's VERY rare, so I would cut your surgeon a break for not telling you that could happen. I'm sure they thought you had a leak and that's why they did so many tests. Thank God it wasn't a leak and now you can focus on recovery. I think it would be a good idea for you to see a nutritionist who can advise you on your diet and calorie intake. I track all my food on My Fitness Pal. I make sure I have at least 60 grams of Protein, 64 oz of Water and no more than 900 calories daily. I don't focus on the amount if carbs too much because if I stay within my protein and calorie goals, there's no room for high carb food. Best of luck to you and please keep us informed!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
