Am I 'eating' too much on the liquid stage?

Recommended Posts

I just cant seem to fill up today? My head hunger is excruciating too.

Today I have eaten (its now 730pm and intend to stop)

2 x actimel yogurt drinks

2 x cups of bouillion

2 x cups of Tomato Soup

1 x cup of ham and pea Soup (I chewed and chewed and chewed some of the ham in the soup - naughty I know)

lots of Water.< /p>

Yesterday I ate

1 x actimel yogurt

1 x soya drink (low fat)

1 x Tomato soup

1 x pomegranate juice

2 x low fat milk iced lolly things (they are tiny)

Please tell me if that is too much? Im terrified of eating too much.

ps: Im on my fifth day since being banded.

Thanks in advance

Lily xx

I don’t think that you are consuming too much. I was told to drink at least a gallon a day for the first few days. I would watch the calories, carbs, fat, and Protein that you are getting. From day one I was tracking that information. I was doing it to make sure that I was getting enough protein. For the first couple weeks my doctor told me not to worry about loosing weight. My Dr said to just make sure I heal from the surgery and get enough protein. Now this is a good time to start dealing head hunger, then try to find something to occupy your mind. I would walk around the house a few times and the “hunger” would pass. I also found this was a good time to start that list of things that needed to be done or stuff that I had wanted to get done…filing, cleaning, sewing and/or starting a hobby. I also started my daily walking to avoid eating. I walk a few miles. It takes me about an hour or so. When I am done I am more motivated to not eat.

I would watch the amount of Protein you are getting. I find that when I am close to hitting the protein amonts that my surgeon and nutritionist set, I do not feel hungry. I also use sugar free popsicles and sugar free gum. Chewing on them helps alot with hunger.

At this stage of the game, you're eating too much if you're eating out of "head hunger". If you are truly hungry then eat...with this in mind...select good choices. I.E. Protein Shakes and other nutritious things (which it appears you are doing.) This phase is HARD. But, it gets easier so just hang in there!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
