Thanks, ladies!! I'll start it on Saturday (today). I just want to hear if anyone wants any changes or additions???

I'll be the substitute for Julie while she is post-op and can't exercise this month.

I keep grabbing at that roll/flab of a belly and am imagining how awesome I could look...hmmmm...getting ideas.

HEY, I ran 2 1/2 miles non-stop tonight. I've got two weeks to prepare for a 5K/ Can I do it???

DAWN, was it your post about shopping? It's probably on the Bandiversary thread. I was laughing. My husband keeps calling my cel (wondering when I'm coming home) and I'll be out "running errands." I try not to buy much at this size, but it sure is fun to try it all on, huh?

Shopping!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Of course you can! Just keep training and working up your distance, the farther you run in your training the easier it will be. I think the serious marathons that are like 25 miles they only train to like 13 miles. Not sure that works with shorter distances though.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
