It will get better!! Did you have stitches or did they glue your incision shut? And yes walk walk walk sometimes the pain is a little bit piercing but it will subside. :)

Yes keep walking that def helps.

As far as my incisions, they had little tape bandages and I showered with them and they eventually fell of on their own. I didn't rub them or put soap on them I just let the Water run over them

Your doing great and will feel better soon, hang in there :-)

Interesting, I didn't have any bandages and I didn't have any stitches :/ I was able to shower with the day. I got a packet of broth out of a Top Ramen package. That helped me not feel hungry. You can also have popsicles that helps too!

That's a good idea. I have these coconut pops made from skim milk and low fat yogurt. I'll have that next week. I had a Protein shake after my broth today and felt better. Did you get a chance to ready my other post about the post-op diet? Would love some input

I did get a chance to read your last post about the post op diet and my doctor recommended the same thing the hospital said to you.

Anyone feel pain in their chest? I've had to take Tylanol Everyday prescribed to me since the surgery for the pain to stop. It makes it hard to breathe.

Nope never had pain in my chest. :/ had some sharp pains just below my rib cage but only for like 20 seconds and then they would go away. And I got those mostly when I was walking a lot.

I'm really happy for you! The weight loss will come for sure. I'm a low bmi too. I hope to feel that good in few weeks too. You've been so helpful and attentive to all my questions I forgot to ask you how you were. Just wanted to say thank you!!!

I called my doctor today and he said he's made the pouch small. I was under the assumption he was going to make it 1000 calories worth but I was wrong and the tight pouch is causing the pain. He said strictly no next stage yet till my pouch naturally expands itself in few days.

Please keep me in your prayers too.

Right after I send this I will stop what I'm doing and pray for you. And I feel honored that you would ask me to pray for you :) but before I'm done let me tell you some encouraging words! I would like to remind you that your daughter of Christ and he has your every move on his mind in his eyes and heart. He knows us better than we know ourselves and has nothing but your best interest at heart. His plan for you and your family is wonderful no matter how we struggle here or the fears that we deal with He is forever faithful and will never leave your side through it all!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
