Surgery next week Mixed emotions

Omg girl here i am 3 days post op and this pain is terrible.. Especially the second day when the anestesia is all gone from the body :( i was crying like a baby couldnt hold it.. But they do put some injection pain medicine that desapears the pain in less than 2 minutes :) im here walking every 4 hrs around the hospital to dont get blood cloths on my legs.. And today ill see the doctor to see if i can go home.

Hi good morning my surgery is so close wow is.next week.. Sept 26 :) im happy.. Im nervous.. I have lots of mix feelings and just cant stop thinking how my life is going to change.. I started at 334 my doctor told me to go under 320 before surgery which i did :) i weigth 318 yesturday :) now im just waiting for that day :)

Congrats girl. We all deserve a chance to be happy without being known as that girl. My surgery is oct fourth and I'm soooo scared good luck dear

Good morning and thanks for your msg don... I just figuered out this morning thats normal to be scared but really at the end when u pass the worst part of the process u understand that there was no reason to be scared of.. That the process is not easy but when are positive and put a 100% on it. The process is faster :) im on my day 8 post opt and today is the day I could say I feel great and I feel the difference... Good luck on you :) dont be scared try to be has calm as posible. Blessings :)

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
