We'll I'm on day 11 of the 14 day liquid diet. All is going well' date=' I'm not hungry at all now. My surgery is this coming Wednesday! The 23rd...I'm very excited and in "nesting" mode. Trying to make sure my house is ready, dinners are planned and projects are finished. You all sound like your doing so well! Best wishes to very one having surgery this week and next and also to you pioneers that have already had surgery, thanks for sharing it helps us be prepared! Love following you girls on your journey, just wish I had time to be on here more......[/quote']

My surgery is the 30th which is not too far. I just wondered what to do to be prepared both in the hospital and back home? I'm really getting worried about not being prepared enough

Only 23 hours til surgery. I am strangely calm about this. I'm more worried about getting my house ready for the company coming in to help me after surgery. Most of my family doesn't know because I didn't want anyone to spill the Beans to my grandmother, she'd literally worry herself sick, but I've thought about making some calls home just to say "hey, I love you", just in case.

Prayers for all of the surgeries tomorrow. We are waiting here on the bench for you cheering. My doc said 2 weeks liq. 2 pureed. 2 soft then real food. I can't stand not chewing puree makes me want to hurl. So I am slowly trying fork tender things, chewing them into paste and going super slow. No problems yet. Thank goodness.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
