a lot of back pain?

Recommended Posts

I keep getting a lot of back pain every few weeks (normally times I'm dropping weight fast). My Dr doesn't know anything about it. It's my middle back and it gets so bad along my rib cage bothers me. Is this normal ? Or am I doing something wrong? Afraid I'm eating too much or sitting wrong.

I don't know, I'd talk to your doctor about it.

I'm only a week out post opp but I have the same feeling. I was told to walk it out. I think it feels like there is air trapped in my chest and it goes through my back. I'm sorry but you're not alone.

I was told that this is a common place for back pain because it is where the ribs stop supporting the spine. I was told that as my abs get stronger it should improve.

my back pains started about a week post op. my surgery date was july 23rd and sometimes it is unbearable....i purchased a treadmill and after 10 min i had to stop because of the pain in my back was taking my breath away....i also have been experiencing pain in my hips when i go for my walks...which i never had before..and starting two days ago i also have been having pain in my left side. i blamed that on sleeping too much on my side but i see i am not alone in that pain either.

I had my surgery one week today. I too have back pain and pain on the left side. I feel like I am in need of an adjustment from a ciropactor. Because we are losing weight so fast our bodies become out of aline. Checking to see if it is ok to go and see one let you know what I find out.

I seen my surgeon yesterday and he was not concerned over the side pain. ..his nurse also had the surgery and she said it was linked to the gas painand bowel movements (or lack of lol)... she did say m.o.m worked wonders for her. ...

I was wondering about that because when I walk my hips are now hurting as well.... isn't losing weight fun:)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
