Oh wow the weekend is going to go super fast for you! Are you ready? I'm just starting to feel excited about it this past week. Maybe a little more excited about no work for 3 weeks lol. Last time I was off that long was about 7 years ago.

I think not being able to have any liquids after midnight Sunday is going to be the hard part. How are y'all doing on your pre-op diets if you had to have one? Are you already packed? I am I've just got a few last minute things to pick up.

The pre-op diet has not been bad at all. I'm on Atkins. There have been times when I really want to have something (pancakes!) "one last time", but that passes. I messed up once with a small piece of birthday cake, and that was it. And I am with you on no fluids after midnight. We get no Water at all until the next day after surgery! I have no idea how to handle that yet.

I have packing left to do and some cleaning, but I am torn between doing that and just going out and having fun and forgetting about chores lol. Rebel!

I was also concerned about not being able to drink Water for so long....I remember the day after surgery laying there using the oral swab they give to to wet your lips .....When they were not looking i sucked all the water off....before you know it your taking little sips and it feels great.....Then the doc comes in and says you can have crystal lite. That is HEAVEN...... I remember thinking i would pay 50 bucks a glass for that crystal lite it was so good....but i was in the hospital so i probably did LOL

Good morning my surgery is this Tuesday, I just finish packing and saying bye to all my favorite foods. I am nervous and excited. I am expecting a lot of pain which I know I can handle what worries me is the emotional withdrawals from food!!! God's protection, strength and guidance too all of us.

Congrats to you both! The time is going to go by so fast! I'm already wondering where my morning went. I have to be at the hospital at 5 in the morning. I hope I can sleep tonight. I'm trying to get in as many liquids as possible because I know after midnight I've got to cut it off for hours. Continue to keep us posted and I'll do the same!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
