liquid diet? You got this! I used eas advantage shakes, which gave me 7 shakes a day. I was lucky enough to be able to choose from several options, and these worked best for me. I was able to have a shake every 2 hours, so I was never hungry, and I lost over 20 lbs. and really shrunk my liver.

Karlam,

glad to hear from you! dont worry about the consults, it took me 9 months to get through the SLoad of tests they hsd me go through but im glad it took that long ! it gave me the chance to start changing thing so by the time surgery i was mentally amd physically ready for the journey. i discovered theain reason for my eating was boredom. i wasnt challanging my self..... set goals. plan things. get oit be social. evem if it taking a walk ....just get off the couch and into the game!!!"

my post surgery experiemce is the thing movies are made from. i see and feel the changes daily. i have not been this excited and happy with life. i meet with a personal trainer on wendsday im going to hire him for 6 months to help me set a healthy exercise routine that i can fit into my schedule and try to tone to minimize the dreaded SAG

if i can be of any help with the pre op jitters ask! oh 2 things

1) try not weigh yoursef 2 much some people dont understand daily weight fluxs between 2 - 3 pounds daily. just work the program and hit your numbers, exercise. and your body will take care of the rest.

2). Stalls happen!they always will! the body is a wonderful self correcting machine, it knows you have changed something and will fight had to hold onto ots gat supply.so change up your routine evety couple of weeks. if you walking? try a light gym work out ( when your surgeon clears you). do some light cardio . ever minute afer 30 minutes is time you are burning fat.

let me know how thing progress. im excited you are on your way . its soooooo diffrent on this side....in a very very good way :-)

I do think there's wisdom in a slow pre-op process to get mentally prepared. My process only took four months, and it was a lot of info to process, and not a lot of time to make pre- op lifestyle changes. It was fine, but more time would have been fine, too.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
