You are not a freak! We all have ways of making this journey work for us! I have been drinking one cup of coffee for a few weeks now. I pour my chocolate Protein Shake in it each morning. This way I get my Protein started early.

Me too. I've been using Califas iced coffee almond milk with plain or vanilla Unjury. Delicious in the AM

Had my 3 mo checkup the other day. Doc said I was right on track, 70 lbs off since I started the journey! Woot.

Unfortunately I also have the WORST period of my life (sorry tmi guys). I've been off since surgery and this one came 2 weeks late. Worst headaches, cramps, horrible. Womp, womp!

Well, my 6 month appointment was this morning. I unfortunately did not quite make my goal. I could not have been much closer as I am currently down 99.6 pounds. So even though I have not had that amazing feeling of being down 100 pounds yet, I know it will only be a matter of days. I did find out that I have lost 25 inches between my neck, waist and hips. My new goal is to spend New Years Day in onederland.

I will also admit that I have seen the weight loss slow down this month. I had been averaging about 5 pounds a week. Since the first of September I have lost 15 pounds. Still a good loss, but definitely slower. I just need to keep reminding myself that this is a journey not a sprint!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
