Thought I would say hello! Today is my 2week post op date and I've lost 16lb! 16 lbs was previously impossible and I'm feeling great! I knew I had lost but I've been choked up with joyful tears today about how possible it is I can do this!!

I'm two weeks post op too! Lost 31 so far ( 20 pre op). We can do this! I am not feeling hungry at all today...forcing myself to eat some protein..tiny tiny amount...guess I'll just finish up with my Protein Shots.< /p>

Let's stay in touch! I'm trying to " stick with the winners" people with a positive outlook. Not that people always need to be positive!

How often did you weigh yourself? I don't want to get obsessive...or depressed if I don't see day to day change.

I have had to force myself not to weigh daily. I tried that the 1st few days I came home and it really was getting to me. I'm mentally only able to do 1x weekly and I'm gonna try to stick to that. It's hard not to be obsessive. I would love to keep in touch with u guys! I feel like alt of positive things have just opened up and I'm finding myself with girlish like happiness as I make all these new steps. I've been reading here for a few weeks and I have to admit before surgery I was a basketcase and just reading things here helped enforce I was making the right decision. :)

yay, welcome girl!

it only gets better from 2 weeks post op, i promise. the first two weeks - def the toughest. i am now at 4 weeks today and i am doing much better.

still struggling with getting my balance right, still tend to eat too fast and little too much and then i suffer!

i was an emotional eater and still tend to want to revert back to it.

so it is a process and a half, but getting better daily, that is just what i want to reassure you about!

welcome!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
