How are all my tidewater people doing?? I'm about to be 4 months out and still feel like I can't eat a lot. I can't eat a whole plate of food. But I can snack on goldfish. So I have to tell myself "if u can eat goldfish then u can eat this chicken!" I ate oatmeal for the first time tonight. Unflavored Unjury is my Protein savior right now!!!

HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!! Almost a 4!!! CONGRATS!!!! Post a pic!!!! The profile pic is too small for my eyes. LOL. I started out at 290/a size 22-24 (which was probably tighter than it should be. LOL) I'll be four months out on Saturday and I'm an 18 almost a 16 and 220. So I have a ways to go before I get anywhere near u. My problem is working out. I have been horrible about it...a day here a day there. But few and far between. I need to get on it. I really have a fear that I'm going to pass out bc I'm not drinking enough and I know my hydration is deficient. How r u with working out?

Hang in there. It gets better. I am a true witness!!!! I didn't begin to feel "normal" until about month 2. Each day is better, then you have a not so good day, then it continues to get better...but by about month 2 I was no longer feeling "blah". And once I went back to work and was able to get in the three meals I was supposed to since I was back on a routine I felt even BETTER!!! Just take it one day at at time, don't rush it and let your recovery be your recovery. Don't compare yourself to others - which is very easy to do on this site. LOL. Once I let go of determining "where I should be by this time in recovery" to others I did a lot better. Good luck with things. I will tell you I am sooo blessed and happy to have been able to have this surgery. It has made such a difference in the quality fo my life I can't believe it.

Sorry it took soo long for me to reply, I have been having issues with my brain disorder lately and so I haven't felt like taking a pic... But I finally pulled myself somewhat together to take a pic! As far as working out, I try to work out every day except weekends but can't do it when my Migraines are acting up and I don't beat myself up about it, I just say maybe I will be able to go tomorrow or the next day!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
