I have a few questions. I was an original sleeve patient in November of 2011. I had a severe stricture that was finally corrected with a bypass in August of 2012. I had lost 110 pounds. scale finally kinda quit moving but ok with that I guess. I was at an ideal weight and had lost all "my girls"! LOL. My sweet husband agreed and paid for me to have a breast augumentation Thursday of last week. The scale gained almost 10 pounds. I know those silicone implants did not weigh 10 pounds. Help! What happened? I haven't felt real well or ate a whole lot since that surgery Thursday. Any idea where that weight came from ? How to get rid of it? I can't exercise for a week or so. Anyone else experienced this ? Help I'm struggling.

I'm sure you were on IV fluids at hospital plus swelling plus bandages and possibly drains. Just wait and don't stress. :)

I agree that's probably what it is they pump you full of fluids anytime you have surgery

I myself had a breast reduction a couple of years ago and found myself to be heavier afterwards,my doctor told me the swelling of scared tissue and Fluid was causing it and the heaviness of the anesthesia.give yourself about two weeks and the weight will move your body just has to heal and get use to the adjustment.try light walking nothing intense just to get you started, and congratulations on your Weightloss!!

When your on bed rest all the Fluid stay in your body. I'm sure you didn't gain 10 pounds. I love your expression 10 pound silicone lmbo

I'm getting my boob fix but with my own body skin & fat :) I want to be all natural but nada wrong with implants it's just me I'm weird sometimes.

So... Tell me what size did you get? Are they heavy? Do your hubby love them? Do you feel the touching licking feeling?

Sorry I want to be prepare for next year :) I heard you lose sensation so idk if its only implants or it apply to anything you do to your body

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
