Energy... what to do with it?

Recommended Posts

So I am a little over 6 months out.... lost almost 90lbs... feeling fantastic. However i just dont know what to do with all the energy I have! I wake up between 430am and 5am, rested ready to get up and start the day ( I go to bed about 9:30pm) EVERYDAY! I work full time, but have recently taken on a second job, I get my gym time in, walk my neighborhood as well everyday.... and now it's getting a little springish I am starting to do outside (yard) work too. But I find myself unable to just sit down!!! I am always popping up from my seat and thinking of little things to do!

I think its starting to drive my husband nuts... last night he said "Can you just SIT DOWN a few minutes and NOT MOVE?".. I laughed and sat down....for about 15 minutes.... then I was up cutting coupons and planning my grocery trip for the week! I have never felt so energetic!!

Anybody else have this problem???

I drove my hubby crazy before surgery. He said the same thing to me the other day. I am up at 4:30 and in bed by 9:30. But I do crash when I hit the bed.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
