I feel the same. Don't know if I can do this. I don't know why my dr doesn't allow veggies and broth at least. I have to drink 5 chalky shakes that leave an awful after taste in my mouth, lots of Water and sugar free Jello. Of all 3 Optifast I kinda prefer the chocolate right out the freezer. Unfortunately it's the least I purchased :(

I have to do a 2 week liquid diet. I did one week then my surgery was canceled bc of a sinus infection. It was very hard!

I like the " oh yeah " Protein Drinks. They are good. The vanilla and chocolate so I bought a case of them on Amazon it was cheapest there. I can also do broth, cream based low fat Soups and blend out so there's no chunks and they were good too. I also had the sf Jello which wasn't so bad but I didn't like the sf Popsicles. I did make a smoothie of low fat yogurt low fat milk a banana and a scoop of vanilla Protein. Blended it up and it was good too.

Hope this post helps some.

I'm on my second day liquid diet. I'm type 2 diabetic and on insulin. My blood sugar is down in the low 90. I'm dizzy and cold. What happens if I eat some Peanut Butter and crackers? My surgery is next Tuesday the 26th. Sooooo excited

I ate a half of a Peanut Butter sandwich.. I felt like I was going to faint yesterday. I got shaky, cold and very light headed. I felt better after I ate the peanut butter. I am just doing the.best that I can.

Call your surgeon an let him know about your blood sugar level. He may allow you to eat some things.

I agree with above.....let your doc know. He may have something he prefers to the Peanut Butter or he may have other advice! Good luck!!! Hopefully you're almost done with insulin forever!!!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
