WALKING walking walking helps sooooo much. the bike ride was funny because i had my britches unzipped and my hoodie pulled over my belly. it still feels alittle like my wind is knocked out of me every now and then. i love bike riding.

OH I ENVY you and the creamy stage, milk....sweet lovely creamy milk. Today is the first day ive even thought about real food. im of course still on Clear Liquids and having trouble with even Jello, but today i drifted off while watching a cheesburger commercial and MAN it looked GOOD. Im no where near ready for anything even similar to that.Anybody eat tofu? i dig it, and im wondering if thats in the creamy stage, or if its in the mushy stage?

anyone know?

Hi Lizrbit, My heart really ached for you when I read this thread. I even spoke with my sister about it. I was so lucky because my sister was with me from the moment I went to hospital. She did everything from helping me have my first post op shower to wiping my brow when I was in pain. She has cared for me in her home for the last two weeks. All the while she is a single mother now and she is raising her nine year old twins alone after divorcing.

I don't know you, but I felt really upset hearing you had nobody to help you.

You sound like you are getting better now, and I hope you are very successful in your banding journey. Bless you.

Susannah

oh thanks so much suzanna! That is so sweet of you. I had a few days where i felt sorry for myself. but in all seriousness, reading the posts from other people who did it alone helped TREMENDOUSLY in seeing that i could, and that id be fine! I was scared a bit the day before surgery, but they were right, i was fine. Thank you for thinking about me. Im doing well so far! Everyone at my surgeons office has called to check up. It really has been fine.

can i do something please? i saw it and i couldnt resist....

"oh susanna, now dont you cry for me..for i came from the tip of Maine with a banjo on my knee"

hahahaha... :) I really really tried hard not to do that....Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Beth

Hi Beth, I am glad you are doing better now. My father used to sing ''Oh Susannah'' to me when I was a little girl, so it brings back warm memories.

Hopefully now your weight should start dropping. A reward for everything you had to go through.:biggrin1:

I am also a Feb bandster, so we are made of pretty strong stuff!:)

Susannah

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
