Anyone else sent home with a 7 day supply of blood thinner shots? Just wondering if I am the only one I read it was rare to get sent home with them.

I am on them for 30 days post surgery as a pre caution.

I'm on Coumadin so I have to take them about a week pre op then after about 3 weeks or until dr say I'm fully healed I have had blood clots in the past though in my LAD main artery in me heart in 2000 then my lungs 2010 that's when they put me on Coumadin

I had to take lovenox(sp) injections for two weeks....tomorrow is my last day its been pretty easy though and the injection itself doesnt hurt but the medicines burns for couple minutes

I had pills...a 30 day supply of cumidin. Each doc is different.

I will be sent home with the shots also

My doctor sends all his patients home with lovanox shots for 6 Weeks after surgery.

I stopped when I left the hospital.

They have them to me in the hospital and had to do them 3 days on myself. Luckily my friend and neighbor is a nurse and I had her do them.

yes got sent home with three weeks please take all of them and make sure to do your spirometry if they sent you home with one and walk a bit in your home keeps you healthy!
