Not Losing....

I'm not quite 3 weeks out and my weight is stalling!! I'm still freaking hungry all the damn time! Why the hell did I alter my digestive system if I'm not going to lose weight..I'm beyond pissed this morning!! My scale is saying I've gained .6 lbs this weekend so far! I've stayed under 700 calories and I'm drinking plenty of water...This just horse shit!!

Thanks for all the encouragement! Maybe I was just being emotional... I hate being over dramatic! I don't know what I was doing wrong, but I broke through... I said I was only going to weigh myself once a week, but I got on this morning and was down another <2.4> lbs!! For a total of <18.2> lbs lost!!

I believe my body was starving. ..Now that I am on soft solids, maybe that's helping me move down the scale!

I'm still stuck. Will be 2 weeks tomorrow. I'm freakin frustrated.

Jodi you have had some complications though since your start..hang in there it will happen.

I'm stalled for 2 weeks now too. I'm 4 weeks out, but glad I read this thread. I cannot complain, I have lost 26 lbs since surgery 12/17/12! Gotta keep on trucking along and know it will drop. Patience!!!!

DOS 12/17/12

You'll get there! I haven't even bought a scale, and don't plan to until I lose at least half of my goal. I don't want to feel discouraged, so I'll just get weighed in at the doctors office.

It's probably water weight, since you've been drinking a lot, and your body hasn't purged it. Try going for a walk every day, it helps purge some of it through sweat. and when you walk it settles some gasses, and that purges it aswell. Don't get discouraged, stalls happen. Weigh yourself one a week instead of every day, and look in the mirror, even if the scale isn't moving, your body is changing. :) keep your head up, and love yourself!

I have only lost 1 pound since December 29th. I will be 3 months post op on the 29th of this month. This is my second stall but this ones lasted the longest

I am stalling again as well. I will be two months Saturday. Im down 31 since surgery. I am trying not to get discouraged this time.

But didn't you just have galbladder surgery? I'm sure your body is thinking what the Hell? Your body is rebelling

Stick with it friend. Just like everyone has said this is a tool. The most freeing thing for me has been allowing myself to be human. I am three months out. I weigh myself once a week. I have had stalls. They have freaked me out but then I realize this weight did not come overnight. I did this for me and allowing myself to be human and enjoying the process is great. Life is so much better. Hang in there!

I appreciate the encouraging words, but I'm getting more and more frustrated with each day that passes without a single pound lost. I know I should stop weighing myself, but I'm afraid I'll show up at my next post-op appointment and STILL have not lost anything.

I know I'm not getting in 64oz of fluids (I really believe that's impossible.. I sipped literally all day long and got 20oz in) but I'm really close on my Protein. I'm taking my Vitamins and am becoming more active with each passing day.

WTH?!?!?

I'll be 5 wks out but one thing I've noticed, its not the weight I've lost but the inches im down 1 size, when ever I dieted i have always lost inches 1st and then the weight would come off! Have you checked your clothes r they a lil loser!! it's not the Scale you should look at!! I dont even have a scale becuz it's a discouraging and Frustrating!! it lets you down so you need to stop!! Its like watching and waiting for the pot to boil & it doesn't (THE SCALE SHOULD ONLY BE USED ONCE A WEEK) I have not lost big Numbers A pound here a pound thr I was a lil Upset also, but my Clothes tell me alot! ONE SIZE DOWN 22 to a 20 lbs in 5 weeks, 10lbs lost. Over all 17.5 from my 1st class for weight loss till now PUT THE SCALE AWAY!! EVERY PERSON IS DIFFERENT WEIGHT LOSS IS DIFFERENT.

Stress will cause you to retain weight. Relax and it might start coming off

I know exactly how you feel cause I feel the same way BUT honestly, what can we do? We can't turn back time and even if we could, we would do it all over again cause we couldn't wait to be post-op! Yea these stalls suck but, you have lost some and if we hadn't have had the surgery we would be gaining still and be even more miserable. Everyone tells me to be patient, take my protien, drink my water and consume my vitamines but all I really want is to look & feel better.... All we can do is keep it going and focus every day, there is no other options - a year from now we'll look back and this will be a stepping stone to greatness!

Keep your head up and know you are POST OP lots of people out there can't even get insurance approvals or are still waiting for the surgery and we are blessed enough to have had it already!!

:) I'm here if you need me!

I can always meet you 1/2 way for a protien shake ;)
