Everyone looks great! I find it unbelievable that a year ago I was carrying around another me! I recently have gotten new coworkers who say is that all you are gonna eat? So I tell them I had surgery' date=' they say you don't look like it. It makes me feel good because I wonder if people knew I was fat! Now when I see overweight people I just want to take them aside and say you can do something about it! The surgery was soo worth it for me even with developing the ulcer from surgery, I feel great! Plus my knees are thanking me!![/quote']

I get the same thing about eating so little, as well.

Simply southern, I've often asked after you, you are such a strong and supportive person, I'm so sorry that you've had a hard time of it, so glad you are back up and running again. I pray you continue to recover.

I am happy to read that you are here and getting better. You have been through a lot since surgery. I hope that you and your family are moving through it all together as it is not easy. My prayers are with you and your family.

I am sadly (for myself it's sad) reporting that I'm still losing weight and hit my goal weight (125 as of this morn).. I am definitely too skinny. I have upped my carb intake. I am also forcing myself to eat more in calories. I hate being negative on what others think should be a positive task, losing weight. But then again if we all could lose like we did before the surgery, we wouldn't have had the surgery :-)

I am still very happy for the tool that I've been blessed with. However, now I need to learn how to gain effectively and maintain effectively while maintaining health; as well as, peacefulness in my mind with everything I'm putting in my mouth. So forgive me for the complaint when all of you are working so hard.

My hard work is definitely coming in maintaining w/o losing. I cant wait to hear more goals reached. Hopefully the maintenance will be easier for you than it was for me!!!! I will continue following and posting; meanwhile praying for everyone that is having the surgery, thinking about having it, or have had it. Meanwhile, throw some prayers up for me in not losing anymore, but in gaining then maintaining ;-) the weight :-)

I will be praying for you! The Dr set a goal of 125 but I would look sick that small so my personal goal is between 135 and 140. I am almost there!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
