I have a UTI! They still might do an endoscopy tomorrow. Thanks for the prayers. I'm on the mend!!!

Was gonna start a new thread for UTI sufferers, but just realized it would be a lot of the same people in this group.

(Just kidding--can't believe how many of us have one. Think I will start on the cranberry capsules.)

Yeah. That's what I've been trying to do. But you said 400-500 cals a week? Did you mean a day?

I had no symptoms except feeling like my pouch was nauseous and not feeling right. But not sure if the UTI caused it. We'll see tomorrow. Hope your antibiotics kick in! Rest and feel better.

Today was kind of a crummy day. Had to wake up extra early for a few Dr. appointments. Since apparently your fertility sky rockets post surgery I decided to get the IUD birth control since it lasts up to 5 years. I'm still in Grad school so the hubs and I wanted to put off starting a family for a few more years anyway. Do any of you out there have the Mirena? Oh my goodness...I was NOT expecting it to be so painful when she put it in!! I cried out "Well, now I know I'm not ready to have a baby!" Hahahah she got a kick out of that. Anyway, the discomfort pretty much lingered throughout the day and felt like wicked intense menstrual symptoms (sorry to the gentlemen on this thread!!)

Tried to nap this afternoon before class since I didn't have to work today, but didn't end up happening. Had class from 5-10pm, and it was one of those nights that draaaaagged. I also forgot to pack my dinner so when I got to class and went to take out my dinner I realized I had forgotten it so I had to dig around for change and get something out of the vending machine...yuck! I was able to find some hummus chips that are relatively healthy, but pretty scarce on the Protein side. The dining hall at my University is also seriously lacking in the healthy options which is a bummer.

Anyway, I can't believe I'm still awake at almost midnight considering how tired I've been today.

I intend to sleep in tomorrow, and since we're supposed to be getting a big snow storm here in the Northeast I may not even leave my pajamas! Thanks for letting me vent, ya'll.

Have to callDr today. I think it's a bigger infection than we thought. I'm peeing blood and discharging blood, I'm just a mess.

Call or go back sounds like more than a uti. Perhaps went to kidney. Like pyelonephritis or something.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
