Oh man I screwed up and boy am I paying for it. I ate a small bowl of 1/2 fat 1/2 sugar byers ice cream. My stomach is banging at me. Not sure if I will throw up or not. But it's pissed at me right now and I keep burping. I sure don't want to throw up. Bet I throw the rest of the ice cream away. " I am so sorry pouch forgive me" owww it hurts

Warrant for pouch abuse has been issued..... Punishment----pain! Lesson learned? I got really sick from cottage cheese which I use to love....now just thinking about it makes me ill. Hope it didn't last too long! Glad you are doing well otherwise!

Thanks y'all I went to bed laid on my left side took about an hour to go away. Just felt overly full. Guess the dairy and the sugar just doesn't like me. Think its a good thing since I won't do it again. Hate that feeling of fullness like that

Gen, you are such a beautiful girl. You need someone who is much better than that clod of an ex. You will find them! It is time for you!

Hippie Gal, sorry about that ice cream! Oops.

Nicole K. Congrats on doing so good! Keep up the good work.

I have been reading all the posts and your progress gives me hope. I haven't lost anything going on 4 weeks. Saw dr Thursday and he keeps saying just wait. I see nut in 2 weeks but have pretty much gone through the gamut of emotions and have accepted I won't reach my goal. I eat 6-800 cal. I have eaten more, less, more Protein Powder, less and still the same. If we lose most of our weight in 6 months, I am almost 1/3 of the way through with only 12lbs lost since surgery-24 since liquid diet. I have dropped one size so not much motivation there. At least I'm not gaining so that is a plus.

Keep posting your successes, it helps to feel like I at least made the decision based on real successes even if it isn't happening for me.

Don't lose hope! Is your protein above 70g protein? My calories are around 800. I still do 2 shakes a day to make protein. I try to stay away from carbs like mashed potatoes oatmeal and bread. I do have a few crackers here and there.

How about your sodium intake and are you getting in all your Water.

Hang in there! :)

Why must a person be tried so much, not given a break. Over the last 2 years anything that could happen, I would say it pretty much has.

3 months ago I had to have my best friend put down. This morning I wake up to his great great grandson being hit by a car. He was my baby. A great big cuddle bug and loved by many. Now this week I will be bringing him home in a beautiful little wooden box. I have 4 of his little babies here with me going on 8 weeks old, tomorrow. Oh god I loved Poseidon. When is all the sorrow going to end?? I think I'm doomed or trying to figure out why I must be tried over and over again. Why me? Why my daughter?? Hating this thing called life!!!!

Any suggestions on having more energy? I am 5 weeks out. I exercise 5-7 nights a week. I get my fluids. My Protein is around 60-65. Maybe it is just my body getting used to my work hours. I have to be up by 5am. I started back this past Monday.

My nut said more carbs, such as natural Carbs; fruits, veggies should help with providing energy.

I was wiped my first week back to work. Just get to bed early and keep up with fluids and Proteins. In a few weeks you will be used to the work schedule.

Thanks Nicole. Doc said to keep protein between 40-60 because I am so short and don't have so much to lose as others. I'm doing that and fluids are good too. I don't do startches very often and then mashed potatoes to help chicken go down. He said to move away from Protein Drinks and yogurt and more to solid protein like chicken, egg, etc. I question getting all protein if i do but we'll see. Haven't been watching sodium. I have eaten salad and veggies with no issues and am hungry a lot so not losing and fighting hunger aren't helping. I asked the dr if he was sure he did bypass!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
