Also I had a bad dinner... Wanted a burger bad... We were at ruby Tuesday and I got the kids menu mini burgers... They were delicious... I ate both but not all the bread... And 2 small forkfuls of mashed potatoes... Felt great for the first 10 mins... Then pain... And it got worse and worse for an hour until I finally felt relief... I'm assuming the bread expanded... I've had a few breaded things but that was the first actual bread that was horrible man oh man did that hurt

A burger does sound very good. But yeah, I think I'd do away with bread all together. It scares me, lol.

Glad you're feeling better.

Yep i learned that too, not with burgers but other stuff. That is why they keep telling us take a bite put fork down chew chew chew and more chew do not drink anything . Pick up fork cut off small bite eat and put fork down and repeat chew. So that the slow signal from your stomach to your brain says STOP eating you are so full now. Thats what we are doing we trying to smother that little voice. It takes awhile for the signal to tell the brain no more and then we hurt like hell

Hi' date=' I had my op on the 17th and I'm 2 weeks in and have lost 13lb to date.I've just started eating mushy food as I call it but I was very anxious about it. I'm worried I may eat to much as not sure when I'm full.I want to lose another 56lb then prob another 14 after depending in how being so slim suits me.[/quote']

The best thing to do is measure. Once you eat the recommended amount, wait about fifteen minutes and you should feel satisified. You can always add more than you can take away. If you overeat your pouch will reject it. Not pleasent.

I use Centrum Calcium and D petites. They are close to half the size of the regular centrum. I've never crushed. Well did once and it came back up.

I have a had a hard time with bread also. It will swell up in your pouch and make you miserable.

Walgreens... I took one at a time and they got stuck! It was awful...I would get chewable!

Walmart. I guess all of us are definitely different. I'm able to down pills w/o a problem. I take 2-4 pills at a time. I still use a chewable for a multi for now. But I really don't care for a chewable.

Before surgery I could take all pills and supplements at 1 time. It stunned my family.

Do you all think this is normal?

Thanks,

E[/quote']

I am 8 weeks out and I am still nauseas alot of the time and vomit a few times a week. I eat slow and no more than about 2 oz o food. :/

I eat at less than is normal at 8 weeks post op because my stomach is so sensitive. I eat 2 oz of food 3 times a day, and I don't do shakes because they make me vomit. I focus on staying hydrated and I mainly eat fish or chicken for my meals bc it's high in Protein. I have a health food scale and yes I weigh my food. I cook 4 oz at a time and make it into two different servings.

I have antinausea medication, eat very slowly, take two bites chew really slow wait to see the response from my stomach. sip tea, or hot lemon Water, for some reason hot water helps, eat only when hungry, do not eat when there are strong smells present ,those bother me also. Funny its become a process :( all to avoid vomiting !

I am so discouraged today! I will be 8 weeks post op on Monday and the scale never moves! I have only lost 37 lbs and only 9 lbs in the last month. I'm exercising daily and have a personal trainer. I eat or drink 60-70 g of Protein daily and always healthy options. I just don't understand how I can go from eating a lot of food that was seriously not healthy and never exercising to how I am now and the weight stays on!! I seriously feel defeated like I have every single other time I have failed at this weight loss thing...I just want to cry. Please...anyone...I need some advice or something today...nobody in my life truly gets what this is like but you all do...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
