Hey guys I'm out of the hospital now... I had SEVER dehydration and stomach and back spasms so they did a ct scan with contrast and everything looks good no leaks or blockages so they are just saying it was my muscles so I'm on a muscle relaxer and was on iv liquids and morphine which didnt even touch my pain

Sp glad it was nothing more severe than dehydration. I've been so worried about you!

I can't find liquid Tylenol for adults anywhere. What is everyone taking for headaches and just normal pain not associated with surgery. I have a.killer headache this morning.

Lisa :-) surgery date: Dec. 4th' date=' 2012[/quote']

A regular sized ROUND Tylenol should be ok to take. I don't have to grind up any of my pills that are round and small like a Tylenol or aspirin pill. That is the guide my dr gave me and I haven't had any problems taking my pills. I've been taking them for almost a week now.

Oh yeah, try not to get the Tylenol with the coating, just the plain one that tastes yucky if u leave it in your mouth too long, lol

What is everyone using for their Calcium? My pills are big and not chewable. Even cut in half they are the size of fat raisin. Im afraid to try them.

I had the same problem!! I can't find it online either. Looks like they don't make it anymore. Just the Tylenol liquid for colds!

I am using Celebrate calcium 500 plus chewables! You get calcium and Vitamin D in one decent chewable.

Hey, just FYI, my dr recommends children's sugar free Tylenol. It can be tricky to find though, so he wrote me a script for it. It was also expensive, like $22 bucks or something, but he wanted me to have it for post-op and he says he suggests that for headaches and every day aches and pains to all rny patients. It's a huge bottle so prob equal to 4 of the 5$ bottles anyways, but maybe give that a try?

My doc prescribed acetaminophen 500mg/5ml-take (2) teaspoonfuls a day as needed. Hope this helps. :)

I use Wellesse' date=' which can be found at most drugstores, Walmart. Taste like a orange sherbet. After you shake it, it becomes frothy and taste not bad. This is one of my nut n Dr recommendations.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
