Walked my neighborhood...and realized the walk that 2 months ago took me 35 minutes and exhausted me, now takes 22 minutes and I'm still raring to go! Apparently time to add another loop on our path!

  • Ok so I'm a postal worker and have the day off so started exercise early... Rode stationary bike for 25 min and then swam 15 laps.. Hubby and I are off to walk 2 miles... It's a beautiful day in Oklah

I forgot to post yesterday - but I did 30 minutes on ARC Trainer and 15 minutes stationary bike + 30 minutes weights and a finished it all off in the steam room to help prevent soreness.

Today was my first day of Couch25K. It was only a 31 minute workout - but I did 2 miles and hopefully by January 1 I will be 5K ready! I usually spend New Year's Eve trying to see how much Prosecco I can drink. Since that is a definite NO this year - I may as well replace that behavior with it being a pre-race night. There is usually at least 1 5K going on around here on New Year's Day.

I'm only on my 3rd week post op but I was able to walk a total of 45 minutes today!

I'm back to the gym but I did 2 miles on the elliptical yesterday & might do water aerobics tonight.....not sure though. Might just do the elliptical again. At least I have the urge to workout again.

Today was Day 2 of Couch to 5K. Yesterday was gym workout with 45 min ARC trainer and 30 minutes weights. PLus the steam room again - ahhhhh.

Haven't had much exercise, because I have sever back pain. That's gotten worse since surgery. Hoping that starting pt and chiropractor will help. Keeping a positive attitude

Have far post op are you? I have a severe back ache as well and I am 18-days post op. The doctor said it might be the way I was positioned on the operating table. However, it doesn't explain why the pain has been so bad 10-days after my actual surgery.

I'm 3 weeks out, I've had three injections and have to go to the chiropractor twice a week, plus on Monday I start physical therapy again.

Oh no. I hope that doesn't happen to me. Did you have back issues prior to surgery? I never had back problems, so this is completely out of the norm for me.

Also, when did your back ache start??

Yes, I've had it since I was about 20 and I'm twenty three now. I've passed out twice, because of sever pain

I did my first 5k (walking) Run or Dye- Syracuse... So much fun!

  • 3 weeks later...

I have been doing Couch to 5K and lots of ARC Trainer - but I decided to switch it up and do spin for the first time in almost 2 years. Ouch! I forgot how much it hurts - especially the first few times. OMG - and I already had a chafing problem - so now I am in mega pain. Looks like I may have to have a rest day to let the chafing heal some - it is danger zone bad and nothing is working to stop it!

does washing way too many dishes count?
