7 days post op I had a "mental" hunger where I just wanted to feel the texture and taste the flavor of REAL food! Then, I got a slight empty stomach feeling. But, like someone else said earlier, it's NOTHING compared to the starving feeling from pre-op. If anything, the "mental" hunger can be harder to handle. After all, there's only so much excitement I can conjure up for my protein shakes, three times a day. :/

Surgery 10/23--5 days post-op! Starting to feel human again and gotten a better system on my drinking. Already down 12 lbs!

I'm 5 days post op as well feeling pretty good and down 14lbs :)

Good for you!! You will love the new you!

My surgery was 10/10/12. Weighed in at 214.5 preop. I'm feeling really good. Not skinny yet and not sure how fast I will get there. At 206 this morning, 18 days out. Seems kind of slow going. Just trying to follow the program. No problems at all, thank goodness. Am trying to be be active. Glad I have your company on the journey.

Love the comment about those wonderful Protein Shakes! Lol I think I'm gonna try to putting some frozen fruit in mine so maybe it will feel like a real Dairy Queen smoothie! Lol

Keep up the good work! We had our surgery on the same date so will have to keep into touch for sure. Our surgery weight wasn't too far off either, cause I was 219 and now I'm 209. I gained 2 pounds then went back down on that 209 the next day....kinda crazy!

I took the full four weeks and had to add another due to the logistics for follow up appointments. My husband is having his surgery tomorrow morning. I need the time to just get into the swing of taking care of myself in this new fashion! I either get all my protein in or all my water, but have yet to do both. Vitamins are a work in process!

Surgery 10/25/12

I know I probably shouldn't have but I weighed myself today an I'm already 9lbs down =] thank goodness.. I needed a lil excitement sense I just got my wedding anniversary pictures today :'( I can't believe how big I got I wish I could be fully happy with em but I'm only happy with a couple of em :'(

Dry milk adds protein to food.

I agree with you on the water and protein, I'm getting better at it, but at least I'm getting all of my vitamins in though.
