Very Fist Appointment!

Had my first apt today & I think it went pretty well. I go back November 8th for a nutrition class & an apt with one of the Doc's. I need to loose 25lbs prior to surgery. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I had my first last week. I don't have to lose any before hand. Im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing : )

I am just going to try to be really careful of what I eat. I am in too much pain most days to be able to exercise much. I have a bakers cyst behind my knee & I have fibromyalgia. I am praying this helps with a lot of my pain!

I had to lose 25 pounds too

I started drinking a Protein shake for lunch and Breakfast

meat and vegetables for dinner and lot 38 lbs before surgery

That's awesome! What kind of shakes did you drink? I have just been doing calories & fat. I haven't really looked at the shakes yet.

Good luck !

Try carnation instant breakfast no sugar added and mix with skim milk I found that to be the best tasting and has 26 g of Protein.

Good luck on your new Journy

Welcome and good luck and you might want to try writing everything down that you are eating. This is most likely one thing the nutritionist will have you do after you meet with them. And you will be a step ahead getting into the habit of writing things down. And it really comes to the front of your mind when you actually write it down. I have lost 15 pounds pre op just by feeling more accountable to what I was eating. Hope this helps.

I had already gotten the myfitnesspal app but had not been real consistent in logging everything. I am now being much more diligent in logging everything that goes in my mouth.

Thanks for the info on the shakes! Gonna get some next time I go for groceries.
