I had Rny at methodist in St. louis prk. My surgeon was Thomas Jones at Park Nicolett.

Im first for mine as well. Have to be there at 5 ( in 3 hours) surgery at 7. But I'm at a hotel 3 miles away from hospital and can't sleep.

Bowel prep is drinking magnesium citrate (liquid laxative) to empty out your system the day befor surgery.

I feel your pain! I had mine at 1pm and still going!

Hi surgery buddy! I am surprised you got a call from your surgeon. What time is your surgery tomorrow?

My surgery is in 12 hours. In 12 hours I am becoming a loser! In 12 hours my life will no longer be as I know it. In 12 hours Im going to get some good drugs. In 12 hours wow I am really having surgery. It is here it felt like tomorrow would never come, and now it is only 12 hours away. Just letting it sink in, now if I could just stop going to the bathroom, I could fully enjoy this moment : )

My surgery is Jan 25th. I hope to lose a little more during the next few days too.

Im on day 4 of 10 days of all liquids. Maily protein shakes. The last day, which is the day before surgery i can only have clear liquids. And yes it is hard, but we can do this. So far I have lost 6 lbs. so I feel like it is worth it.

Apparently I am more ready for this lifestyle change than I realized. So last night, I kept wanting to cheat. It was my birthday and I kept telling myself that it wouldn't make that big of a deal. So I wanted a milkshake or ice cream, really I wanted cake because thats my thing on my birthday(an unresolved issue from childhood, and another story) anywhoo, I said I would be ok to all who asked, but secretly I was planning to Celebrate with 1 of my cravings. Well I am happy to say that I didn't. My dinner and dessert last night consisted of 2 scoops of muscle milk Protein powder, ice and Water with two strawberries blended to make a smoothie. Then watched law and order ( another addiction) and to bed. Im so proud of myself and I truly feel this is the right path for me. I know that it won't be easy, but I can do this! Btw, today is day # 4 on liquids and I am down 6lbs! Now I will say there is no cake that taste that good : ).

My surgery date is Jan 25 th. I start liquids on the 15th. M

Can't remember if I told you or not but congrats!!!! Funny, I start my liquid diet on Jan 15th which is 2 days before my birthday. My kids said they would make me a Protein birthday smoothie instead of cake: )

I know it wont be that easy : ). I GOT A DATE!!!! On Jan 25 th I will be having gastric bypass and my gallbladder removed. I am sooo ready!!

I meet with the surgeon on Wed to find out. Hoping for the last week in Jan.

I got a call today, I meet with my surgeon and dietician next wed. the 19th. I will get a date that day, along with preop diet info, gallbladder test ( not sure what that is) . So after being so ready to get this done, today I got nervous. I can't say that I was scared but just overwhelmed I guess. Of course I still want to go through with it. But I couldn't stop crying. I know you all probably hear this all the time. Just surprised me that I felt this way and it caught me off gaurd.

I hope you get an approval quickly as well! I don't have an exact date yet. I was told it would be in Jan. I will meet with the surgeon in the next week or so.

I got approved for surgery today! Wahoo!!! It only took 5 days. Hopefully will have a date soon!

Sorry you are going through that. If I remember correctly you and I were being submitted to insurance during same time frame.( mine will be sent Monday) I was told that my approval will have a years time frame. I hope that everything works out for you to get your surgery in Jan as expected.
