  3. I am right there with you. There has not been a single thing that has given me problems. I have been able to do all meats, salads, fruits and even tiny portions of treats on rare occasion (my daughters birthday). I am so happy with how everything is turning out, I can't believe I waited so long to make my decision. I even actually went swimming with my girls and MIL this evening (in a swimming suit lol)
  4. Volunteering this morning at a triathlon these athletes are amazing. Hoping I can be among them in the near future!
  5. Forgot to mention that this is my favorite group on here! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  6. My introduction. My name is Dana and I am 40 years old. I am on my second marriage (this one going much better than the first...lol). I had two daughters my first marriage and my current husband and I had a daughter together. He also had two children to his first wife. His two are older than my two and he had the only boy. his son is 17 his daughter 15 then my two are 14 and 13 and the youngest is 8. (yea, not a big fan of teenage girls right now). I began to have problems with my weight after I had my second child and began to have back problems as well. then several years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and of course the side effect of my meds was weight gain. I am 5'5'' and my highest was 258. It was all I could do to get through the day and would go straight to bed as soon as I got home from work. I have worked for a Head Start program for 12 years as a Family Engagement Manager. I really missed spending time with my kids and family. I began the process last October then in February I started having problems with my gall bladder. when I finally had my surgery 4/22, the dr told me that my gallbladder was one of the worst he had ever seen and it should have been out a long time ago. I never had any of the norman symptoms but was sick all the time for at least the last 2-3 years. I knew as soon as i woke from surgery that it was gone. my entire body felt so much better all over (even with the pain, it felt better). I have had no problems since surgery, thank goodness, and I have felt so much better. 1.5weeks after surgery I went to the shore for my 13yr olds twirling championships and was able to walk the boardwalk the entire week (last year couldn't even do two blocks). I am now down to 216 and can finally start going to a gym (also had two hernias repaired that I didn't know I had). Hoping to start toning some of the wiggle & jiggle. I usually try to at least catch up every evening but with work and the kids having activities in the evening, its hard. I will say, when I am having a rough day it is great to check in and see how good most everyone else is doing. Hope all continues to go well for us! Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  7. 8 weeks out today. Cleared for all activities (also had my gall bladder out & 2 hernias repaired with my RNY). Currently down 30 since surgery. Going to start Supreme 90 Day in the morning (generic insanity). Guess we will see how it goes.
  8. I had my surgery laparoscopic. How long before they are completely healed?

    Stall HELP

I really wish I knew too! I am 4 weeks out and really haven't moved in the past two weeks and when I did it was like two pounds over one night and nothing since. Getting frusterated. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk
  11. What mg are you on? I am on 60 but the capsules are kinda big for me. I get samples from my pcp & last time that had to give me 30s. They were much smaller & worked great. I had been taking the 60s at night so I didn't have so much pain in the am but I have now been able to split the 30s to am & pm. What a huge difference in the fibro pain!

    Incision sites

I had one stitch in the 4 small incisions and 2 the 2 larger ones. My stitches still haven't dissolved and I was just wondering.
  14. My first one after was the day after my surgery. Didn't bother me too much because I was on the pain meds and slept a lot for a few days. Now I have cramps and my daughter is telling me I'm being such a bitch. I am kinda feeling that way too.
  15. I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow and have PMS BIG TIME! I have some stuff here but the pills are huge. What have others used/done?

    Lost My Best Friend

Lost my best friend last spring as well. I live in a small town so unfortunately I still have to deal with her snootiness and her above all otherness as there is only one school and both our girls are in the same grade and some extra curricular activities. I just try to blow it off even though it still hurts some times & I have made some of the best changes for the good in my life since then. Not only my RNY but I have met some amazing new friends!
  17. I have 6 incisions 2 less than 1 in and the rest less than 1/2 in. I had no drains or ports and I'm not even sure if they stitched or glued mine. I have steri strips over them that haven't fallen off yet.

I am 4 days post op and have had more difficulty at night as well. I think mine is still due to all the gas. The past 3 mornings I have been up between 3-5am feeling like I'm going to explode. Lol
