Hi Darcy - I C U.. how are you feeling today? Hope you girls that are sick get to feeling better..

I am trying to read up back and see what is going on. Nothing new to report just have the same car and of course same worthless computer. I called and talked to MSN and Qwest and still have the same problem or better yet new ones keep popping up. I really have to find someone to help me. The gal here bailed on me.. Other than that my kiddos are doing good (knock on wood).

Kat my family is like that they migrate together and for me being shy I try and work the room to make others feel good.

Well would like to post more but trying to catch up from being off work.

BIG GIANT HUGS, Dianne! ((((Dianne)))) I pray that at least something is going your way today, even if it means little Bambi has found his or her way to doggie heaven. Please, please let us know if there is something we can do...you've got the prayers, and you can come scream to us anytime you want! When I get too tired of too much junk in DD's room, I pull out a big black trash bag and start filling it. It doesn't necessarily get thrown out, it might live in the garage. But, if nothing is noticed as "missing" for a while, that kinda tells you how unimportant it is, and then, you can dispose of it. He'll probably not even notice after the shock of being able to actually see the bed and floor and stuff has worn off, that is! Please, take a deep breath or find something to laugh at...you've got a plate that is just way too full! ((hugs)) again!

Mandy, you keep resting up!

Beanie, call any time!

Betty, your salad sounds good, too! I'll have to make both yours and Eileen's! War of the broccoli salads...anyone?

Glad ya'll are hearing from Pat, and glad she's okay, just MIA. Those flying Monkeys scare the bejeesus out of me, so I'll be sure not to stay away too long, with those things out looking for people!

I made a bunch of chicken enchiladas for dinner tonight...just waiting until later to actually bake them. I can probably eat 1/2 of one, but that's the kind of thing we get used to. I'm not losing weight right now, but like always happens, now is when people notice or ask how much weight I've lost lately. It's the weirdest thing. That happens to ya'll too, right?

Girlie girls, I've gotta go pick up DD from school...please stay sane (ha!) and well...see ya tomorrow. Did I tell ya I was "working" again tomorrow as the school receptionist/nurse? Yeah! More kids to tease about why they are tardy...I just love that....

Hugs, Cindy

I ran to the store, and spent $100....yikes. But I got snuggles for $1.05 a bottle, I bought 10 bottles, I'm gonna smell good and have the softest clothes in the neighborhood. I am going to get my munchkin off the bus and then come back and take a muscle relaxer and get some sleep. I have chicken in maranading (sp?) in lime chipolte sauce. My DH said he would bake it when he gets home. I am going to rest as much as possible today and tomorrow, I really want to stay home and not have to go to the hospital. I'll check back later ~Mandy

Hope you are resting comfy Mandy. Eileen how is your sore throat??

Wanted to let you all know what went down yesterday. The moron who went through the fence--Jan (pronouned Yawn)--contacted the attorney and wanted to settle it out of court. So since it had been filed, we had to go to a mediator. Which I was the one to do the filing, so I had to go. He was sooooo stupid!!! He kept saying the only reason he hit the fence was because he had shingles (the disease, not the roofing product) in his eye. I told him then in my opinion he should not have been driving he could have mowed down children walking from school as easily as my fence---he pops back saying "well it's a good thing no one wants your opinion then isn't it" The mediator told him yes they did want my opinion that is what we are there for. He admitted hitting it and leaving. He was objecting to the financial amount, and he did not want to fix it to our standards...what it boiled down to was he didn't want to buy new posts, or cement them in. He saw nothing wrong with a farm fence having slightly bent fenceposts. In theory there isn't, and if he had not tried to get away with it, we likely would have worked with it---but....anyway when I said "no" he went ballistic again in mediation! Finally the mediator told him no more outbursts or she would call in an officer. So he was going to leave, and she told him she is appointed by the courts, she would be testifying that he admitted to her he hit the fence and left, and that he was driving an uninsured vehicle. He screamed until the officer showed up, then he decided to settle with me. He wanted to write me a check then and there. The mediator told him no, it was in the hands of the courts, paperwork would be drawn up, and he would pay that way, and he stormed out. We are supposed to be in front of a judge on March 8th. Not sure what's gonna happen with him next. The mediator agreed that the restraining order was a good move. She even ask for an escort to her car when she was ready to leave!

Sort of feels like I should have taken the loss, and let it be---but I didn't and here I am. will let you know if anything else happens!!!

I have dinner cooking...I miss all of you---just wanted to be sure to keep you up to date on "the moron!"

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE????

Moron doesn't begin to cover it, Kat. I'm thinking "mentally disturbed" or "on drugs" is more like it. To act that way, in court (with a mediator, but under the court's control) and not be aware that these actions would have repurcussions is simply astounding. I'm glad you have a protective order, and glad there were officers there!

Mandy, glad you are resting, and Eileen, I hope your throat is better.

Later...and hugs!

Cindy

unreal Kat...Unreal but good for you! Idiot can get hit with even more of a fine etc acting like that. I think if the judge asks for the mediators opinion the guys in big trouble as a matter of fact I wouldn't be surprised if she requests you get more money for having to put up with the idiot.

Sorry for no personals...working late at work and stuff at home. Mandy I sure hope you feel better soon and Diane I hope your stress eases up and people get healthy at your house! One day at a time folks!

Mornin' All.

I went to the infamous "Aftercare" program yesterday. It was precisely what I expected it to be. The nice lady put me on the scale with the body fat analyzer and took some basic stats. Then we talked about what I am doing, and went over the basic rules again. I did really ponder the fact that I have NOT been following rule #3 - stop eating when you first feel full. My bad. I love food too much to stop after 3 bites...but I have vowed to work on that. I am going to try to take VERY small portions on the smallest plate I can find.

The only thing that might have been really special is that they have a technician right there who tried to give me a fill... alas, she could not find the port without flouro. It's too deep under a layer of my 56% body fat. *huff*

She dug around in there for about five minutes before she gave up. Thank God for the numbing shot.... In a way, I was kinda glad she couldn't find it - since I was worried about getting an over-fill without there being able to see the contrast Fluid pass through. I was pretty worried that she might puncture the tubing, too - the way she was digging around. So, back to SCOR for a proper fill under Flouro - for sure.

The good news is, my new official weight is down a 2.5 pounds since the 6th - and for me, that is pretty good. It's an affirmation that when I am good, I will reap the rewards. My scale today indicates yet another 1.5 pounds - but it isn't official, so I am not going to get all excited. (much)

So, here I am on the last day of the month at my fabulous job. We are having a potluck for lunch. Can you say CARB HELL? *sigh* So, I have to try and find some sort of lesser evil while dodging the seven layer dip & cheesy garlic mashed potatoes. I really hope somebody brought meatballs or cold cuts or something. I am going to try to resist... but I swear, that bean dip nearly tripped me and beat me to the ground when I walked by it earlier. *grrrrrr* I guess I had better high tail it into my profile and change my siggy to stay motivated.

DH and I made it to the gym last night - so I that puts us up to 11 days for February. Give or take 22 miles. I have to say that it's a whole lot easier to get to the gym, than to dodge the bean dip. I am going to work on going to the gym LOTS to offset the bad days.

Well, I am off to search for a low-carb potluck selection.

I will be back!

xo

Hey Guys... DH's Dad had surgery this morning... not yesterday morning... was in from 8 this AM until 3 PM... he then when to ICU and proceeded to have some problems... they are doing an EEG and I am leaving in a minute to go back to the hospital. Hopefully we'll find out something more. He is an alcoholic and doesn't take care of himself. His nutritional status is poor. THey apparently found the cancerous tumor to be larger than they first thought but think they removed it all and did a graft to his tongue with skin from his inner thigh. THey did a major neck disection to remove lymph nodes as well. Anyhoo... I better get over there... my hubby tried to prepare for anything but that is a pretty impossible when you love someone.

(((hugs)))

Ah - Another day has passed...

I have tracked my exercise at 11 days for the month-to-date. I will check in with my total in the AM. I am planning on going again tonight. 12 days out of 28 is still pretty wimpy - so I am going to have to do a whole lot better than that in March.

Unofficial weight for today (per my scale + 4 lbs variance) would be 292. That's still only 39 pounds since my surgery date - and 55 pounds all together. I need to move that along just a smidge. I need to have this a little bit more under control by the time the next set of food holidays roll around. I think I will be able to pass up Easter candy - so then I am clear until at least the fourth of July - and probably until Thanksgiving.

Today, I have successfully avoided eating any of the evil carb laden treats lying around the office. With the exception of some veggie-dip which had some sugar in it, I was pure. I purposely avoided the dessert section of the office... I resisted the chips that were staring at me all afternoon - and I didn't even smack my idiot co-worker when she repeatedly blathered on about how delicious the Desserts were - AFTER I asked her not to mention it. GOLD STARS for me. (and lucky for her that I didn't snap)

So, going into March - it isn't all that bad. I have lost a few pounds, I am hitting the gym, and I am not doing too badly on the whole food concept.

Now all I have to do is improve on my ability to stop eating when I am full. Since this has always been the hardest thing for me to do, I forsee some fluctuation in my success rate... I will try not to bore you too much with the blow by blow daily report. :) I am determined to lose a minimum of 5 lbs in March. That is my goal. I would like to see at least 10 - but 5 is an attainable number, considering a week of travel food & no exercise might occur. That trip is a double edged sword. It's so fun - but so bad for me!

Mary - sorry your computer is such a punk. Hugs to you and the boys.

Cindy - I will totally call you when I get back from Tuscon. I could really use some veteran assistance. And I am so there with you on the body changes being the flip side of no weightloss. I only lost a couple of pounds in the whole month of February - but I am wearing a shirt today that I wouldn't wear three weeks ago cause it was too tight in the belly. How cool is that?!?

Mandy - I hope you actually got some rest today. How nice that your DH isn't Kitchen-Phobic.

Kat - I worry about you with that nut-ball around. Geez - the mediator thought she needed an escort to her car! All I can say is I hope the judge doesn't spank him so hard that the Nut-Ball feels the need for revenge. He sounds almost as scary as Crispy's neighbor. I hope he isn't someone that you will have to see on a regular basis in the future.

Sherry - hope you get a break from the late hours soon. xo

Eileenie - Hugs!! I can't wait for tomorrow! Now, how can we arrange for Boss Man to be away... permanently.... :heh: LOL!

Darcy - Huge Hugs! I hope FIL is ok and the surgery was a great success - but there isn't anything you can do if people won't take care of themselves. I am thinking good thoughts for you & your DH. It's hard when your Daddy is sick - even when Daddy is an alcoholic.

Well, I am off toward home, now. DH is flaking on the gym - but I am going without him. So there, NYAAAAA.

Love you guys!

(Where ARE those stinking flying Monkeys, anyway?? We are still short of a few of our peeps...)

Sorry about all your going through Darcy with you FIL.

BYE BYE EVIL FEBRUARY:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :amen: :amen:

Yesterday not only was DS, DH getting sick but the cat was also throwing up! I don't remember if I told you that already or not.

Last night I started feeling as though I was going to get sick I took a phenagrin pill the DS had gotten fromt he hospital. This morning I wasn't feeling good at all. DH was to busy so I took FIL and Bambi to see MIL today she had open wounds on her from her cancer. We visited with MIL and she asked him what they were going to do with Bambi. He said we have to put her to sleep. She said whos going to take her. I said I would take her and hold her. I said let me call and find out if you need to make and appointment. I was thinking DH could take her. I made an appointment for tomorrow at 10. Then MIL said I think she should go today can't we take her today. So I called back and they said bring her in. Well then MIL and FIL said good bye to there little dog. My FIL has never loved a dog as much as he loved her. Then I picked her up wrapped her in a towel and I started to cry. I walked out crying and walking down the hallway DH was coming towards me. Thank goodness, he drove Bambi sat on my lap. We got to the vet and she leaned her head against Garry. Then they gave her the shot and she went to sleep. It was very peaceful. Garry said a prayer for her and for Herbert.

:welcome: March!!!!!

Beanie, lots of good news for you! Glad you could wear the blouse that used to be too tight! It's just weird sometimes...but if you think about the room a pound of feathers takes up (like tummy fat), it makes better sense (to me, anyway!). Call me anytime!

Dianne, I'm glad the little Bambi is free and whole and healthy, running around in doggie heaven, and you have one more thing off your mind. Good luck with everthing else!

Darcy, prayers offered for you, DH, and DH's dad. Hope it is going okay, and hope you and DH are doing as well as you can, under the circumstances. ((HUGS)). Let us know.

I worked today, and ran around with DD afterwards, and I'm just pooped.

Talk with ya'll tomorrow.

Mandy, how are you?

Hugs, Cindy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
