good question is how far post op are you? Are getting in any Protein at all (if you are out far enough)? Keep drinking and drinking, it sounds like you are right in that you might be getting dehydrated - but how dark is your urine, check that out to see if this is that problem. It could be not enough calories, not enough sleep, not enough Vitamins, not enough Protein etc. or a combo of all of them. I was like that on and off for the first month. Once in awhile I still get that way and realize I have not had Water or protein and take some and I am better. I am lucky in I no longer have to sip Water (I can take normal swallows), which sure makes getting in liquids so much easier, but not easy. BTW I found slurpees and shaved ice (sugar free of course) were great ways to get in my liquids.

Give us a bit more information so we can help, but honestly if you are really worried call your surgeons office, they are there to help and are used to figuring these things out. That way if it is something serious they will tell you right then and there. (I dont think it is serious YET, but I am no doctor)

So you are just 5 days out?? Well your body has undergone a tremendous change...all those things are normal really..everything in your system has changed how it processes...your drinking continually that's good its just going to take time unfortunately...the first month was the very hardest for me as my body adjusted...but it will get better just hang in there and do what your dr. Has told you to do..are you drinking your Protein?

I so agree, at only 5 days out everything will be wonkie and nor normal. Just keep up your drinking and taking in all the liquids are you are told to. Your body is still healing from surgery so there is no way it can feel normal or right yet. It was 4 weeks for me to begin to feel "normal" and as I said before I still get those days that I feel off. Just rest and take it easy. But do not forget to get out there and go for a short walk a few times a day. It really helps your healing, your gas and your weight loss.

Be easy on yourself, be patient with yourself and take care of yourself! It will be worth it...

I'm 1 month on wednes & I just went through the dehydration deal Saturday. Your symptoms sounds familiar, but check your pee color.... Dark? = dehydrated! I wonder the same how can I get all my liquid and Protein? :( the ER doc said this is very common because of that fact.

It's hard, I know! Hang in there!!!

I do walk around the house and do my laps I walk around about 10 times twice a day it's not much but it is a start. My pee is dark but I don't have problem going or anything like that. I haven't got any Protein in today but I made some protein pops ( in the making as we speak) for later as dinner I made them with the carnation instant Breakfast and used 4oz cups. I know I'm forgetting some things because I desperately need a nap lol

I didn't know that a runny nose is due to dehydration. My nose runs all the time lately. Glad I read your post.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
