Has anyone tried a small sip after eating? I want just a small piece of ice or something but am scared to death! If we eat three meals and it takes the minimum of 30 minutes to eat and we can't eat 30 minutes before or after, that's 4.5 hours a day we can't drink. I already don't get enough fluid! This isn't working!!!

I was told not to drink 5 min before eating not 30 that seems like a little to much time to me, your pouch shouldn't hold fluid for longer then 5 mins I would think.

I said the same thing to a friend of mine today, not enough hours in the day for all the eating and drinking.

I was told at least 30-45 minutes no drinking before or after

This is surly a different road traveled. I've found out I get nauseous when its time.to eat. Last night I drank way to much water because my throat was so dry I couldn't even talk. Then I was sick! I read that you can ruin your pouch doing that.

;( so now I have a sippy bottle by my bed.

3 weeks post op and still in pain. I had a few days pain free but, then they come back full force. What are y'all doing for the incision pains? Who's totally sick of cream soups? I can't wait to enter phase 3 diet and start water aerobics! What's your choice of exercise? Have a great night my friends!

Sounds like we are all in the same boat in one way or another! At least we know we are not alone. I am very thankful for this forum and each of you on here!

i ask the same question, even though your dr said your pouch is the size of an egg 2oz, do you all find you can eat more than that when it comes to certain foods? and i walk around with a water bottle, i am use to drinking 3 gallons a water a day so 64 oz is killing me... the only pain i have in just muscle pain from my incisions and the fact the past 2 nights i have been so fatigued i fell going up the stairs.. so i may just start sleeping down stairs after my husbands leaves TDY. I do hope everyone is well and happy and your families are handling your recovery well and treating y'all great..
