I read somewhere on here that someone used 2 scoops of unflavored whey for 48 oz of crystal,light....I want to do this, but my question is this. What dos that equal out to be in terms of Protein per serving?? Surgery 9/24/12 344 10/1/12 323.8

Disclaimer: period question! So yesterday night I randomly started bleeding. My cycle is the 15th. It is very heavy and I have gone through 3 super tampons. Anyone experience this? Surgery 9/24/12 344 9/29/12 327.8

My apologies to the male members. Question for the ladies: So, yesterday I was six days post-op. With no warning, I suddenly started bleeding, very heavily. My cycle is usually the 15th. Anyone experienced this?? Was thinking it could be all the heparin shots, perhaps? It continued throughout the night and this morning. Just wondering if there is any cause for alarm... Holy really bad day. Ended up calling the surgeon last night because I was concerned about the all day diarrhea and the extreme pain. He said quite frankly as long as your urine output is still good and you have no fever I am not concerned :/ still having diarrhea and the pain, I worked on ice chips all night and that works better than just Water. The pain comes every 15-20 mins. Seriously wondering wth I've done lol. Surgery 9/24/12 344

]Had a few sips of EAS (the silver box from Walmart) this morning. Was in great pain immediately. Several times I thought I was going to throw up, but the pain moved down to the center of my belly. Felt like someone was twisting my guts, hurt clear thru to my back and came & went. This went on all day. I took some pain media and tried to lay down. He pain continue to come and go. Just now I all of the sudden got hot and sweaty, saw stars and threw up & had diarrhea. What would cause that? I have been nauseous all evening. I did manage to keep down some cream of wheat, but I'm still having diarrhea ( I am seriously miserable Surgery 9/24/12 344

Take I cup black Beans, I cup chicken stock and cook them...then purée...yummmm. I add a small amount of seasonings as well. Surgery 9/24/12 344

Ooooomg today has been the worst day, woke up and showers, and my remaining sterns trips came off. Went down and had two sips of my protein shake, and immediately had discomfort. I just know I was going to throw up. I was in tears from the pain. The pain has moved down to the middle of my belly, It comes and goes, but feels like my guts are being twisted, hurts thru my lower back. That finally eased up some so I ventured out with my mom to get groceries. hUGE mistake it was packed and took forever. When the pain hits me, I get really hot and cannot even speak. I managed to get out there in one piece. Came home and tried to sip some broth...that was a no go on top of all that, I look down and realize one incision has swollen up and has a huge bruise around it. :// not a good day!! Decided to try a few bites of SF pudding. That went well, so I made puréed black bean soup for dinner. Very delicious and the pouch approved! Surgery 9/24/12 344

Thanks you guys. That makes me feel better! I will try sippin Crystal Light today and maybe some ice chips.

I am so happy to be at home. I am trying to keep sipping my water, but it just keeps giving me gurgley tummy and gas pain. I get up and walk, and usually burp and I am ok. Then I get settled back down, start sipping and the cycle starts again. Is this normal?

Day 2 of Post op...lots of gas and pressure still. I hate taking the liquid lortab they gave because it makes me loopy. The pain isn't as bad as I thought. Just feel pressure everytime I have sips of water :/ they are preparing my discharge ppw and I should be outta here by 0930.

I am on my second hour of water trials. I will be headed up to my regular room after lunch today ) everything is going great!!

Had my surgery yesterday at 1130. They were able to do it laprascopically, so I have six small incisions. I am in ICU until after my water trials are successful. I am a little more sore today than I was yesterday. Hopefully they will come in soon and take out this catheter!!
