  5. Let's see some progress pics of our September surgery friends...
  6. What is the total amount you want to lose? 44 is wonderful! I'm not far behind you. I've had stalls that I thought would never end. Keep up the good work and you will get there. I found a lime Greek yogurt that I really like. It has 13 grams of protein. I drink an Atkins shake(ready to drink-can't stomach the ones you shake up) every morning, 15 grams. I use reduced fat Ritz, low fat cheese and low fat lunch meat, I eat about five and get roughly 8 grams out of that. My hair is falling out from where I had such a hard time in the beginning. Doing great now though. Almost 50 pounds gone. I can't believe in just a few days I will be halfway to my goal already! This surgery has been a life saver, even though it almost killed me in the beginning...lol! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  7. Wow! That's awesome! Keep up the good work! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  8. It's a lot of work. I'm just now able to get my recommended Protein in. The more you are committed, the better you will do! Keep us posted on how everything goes... Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  9. Doing good! Thanks for asking =) I'm nine weeks out and down 45 pounds. It's a hard process but the results are worth it! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  10. I needed five blood transfusions and two bags of plasma. I would have died without it. There was a tiny spot on my intestines that didn't close. I bled out. I respect other peoples religious beliefs but please know that there is that chance! Best of luck to you! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  11. I have NEVER heard of a doctor being against Protein shakes! Did they give you a reason? That's your main source of protein, especially in the beginning. I can't imagine where I would be without them. Undoubtedly in the hospital! Good luck with your journey. Please keep us posted! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  12. May I have a copy too, please..... jessica.mcnabb@yahoo.com Thanks soooooo much, you are always so helpful! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  13. When did you have your surgery? My highest was 216, close to yours! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  14. You will love it here. Everyone is great. Welcome and congrats on the weightloss! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  15. Thank you so much for sharing. I think we can all see ourselves somewhere in there. While not one of us is the same, we all have similar struggles and we are all here for the same reason. Thank you to my forum family for always being there for me, for the laughter and the tears. You all are truly amazing!!! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  16. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for joining the forum and for sharing your story! You really are an inspiration to us all! It's soooooo hard while we are going through this but to see and hear your story gives us that little push we need to keep going! I really need to start working out. I have an "addictive" personality so I would probably use exercise as my coping mechanism. I can't wait to see what the future looks like for me. Thank you again for the inspiration! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  17. Is it really "unflavored?" Does it have some flavor? I tried some of the nectar mixes and they taste like pure protein with a little bit of flavor =P Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  18. Doing much better, thanks! Still not quite getting enough protein in but I feel good most days. My surgeon doesn't seem as strict as most. I'm allowed carbs in moderation. But I don't have hundreds to lose either. I can eat most healthy things in small amounts. I ate a few of my sons French fries the other night and ended up with the foamies....yuck! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  19. I'm a little over six weeks. I just make sure it's small bites and I chew, chew, chew! Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12

  21. Adkins has some that fall in that category. They have meal ones, snack ones and indulgent ones. I like the one that's like a PayDay. It has 16 carbs but only 3 net carbs. Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
  22. Where are you at with everything? I too had around 90 to lose. Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
