I am set for the 25 th

I have done about half my pre op requirements

Psychiatric evaluation - check

EGD / colonoscopy - check

sleep study- check

Cardiology clearence- check

GI consult- check

Pre op education program - 1 class to go

Final doctor appointment

Final two dietician meetings

Official insurance clearence

Chest X-ray

EKG

Blood work

** these must be done within 30 days of surgery**

Appointment with IVC filter doctor

IVC filter placed 3 days before surgery

Pick up incentive spirometer and surgery bag

How are you all doing? Does anyone have troubles sleeping? I can only sleep in my back or sitting up on the couch so I don't get much sleep haven't slept through the night sense September 15th. Any suggestions?

We had to stop on the way home from the hospital and get a recliner. It's the only way I can sleep...

Ooooomg today has been the worst day' date=' woke up and showers, and my remaining sterns trips came off. Went down and had two sips of my protein shake, and immediately had discomfort. I just know I was going to throw up. I was in tears from the pain. The pain has moved down to the middle of my belly, It comes and goes, but feels like my guts are being twisted, hurts thru my lower back.

That finally eased up some so I ventured out with my mom to get groceries. hUGE mistake it was packed and took forever. When the pain hits me, I get really hot and cannot even speak. I managed to get out there in one piece. Came home and tried to sip some broth...that was a no go on top of all that, I look down and realize one incision has swollen up and has a huge bruise around it.

Oh lots of love! I had the exact same thing! It was awful!!!! I even screamed in pain! I used my hand to put pressure on it and used a heating pad. But, I too went to ER there was nothing they could do ;( I'm so so sorry.......hugs

I had surgery the same day I went to work on this past Monday. But I only work 31 hours this week and I stayed in the office pretty much all week. I too am tired all the time. Hard to find energy to make it through the day. Plus, it is hey hard to be around food.....Thank god my co-worker know and they try to be respectful with their lunches and office breakfast. I hope it works out for you.

I have at first it was uncomfortable because of the water with the melon I made sure it was in small pieces and I chewed it foever......I still eat it...

Well here it is went from a 4x to a extra large in a month and a half not that it is the loosest thing but hey I'm feeling good

I love all of you and pray form you everyday y'all keep me going and I was wondering if anyone has had any weird dreams about like eating a whole pizza or carbs or things like that I am and these are the same dreams I had after is or put of rehab so it reaffirms that my Eatin habits were in fact a addiction sorry about how my room looks and I think I'll go ahead and put a before pic with it in in my undies so I'm sorry if anyone gets sick!!

Wow... What a difference! That's awesome! Gives me hope! And I believe all of us girls look or looked like that in our underwear...lol

]Had a few sips of EAS (the silver box from Walmart) this morning. Was in great pain immediately. Several times I thought I was going to throw up, but the pain moved down to the center of my belly. Felt like someone was twisting my guts, hurt clear thru to my back and came & went. This went on all day. I took some pain media and tried to lay down. He pain continue to come and go. Just now I all of the sudden got hot and sweaty, saw stars and threw up & had diarrhea. What would cause that? I have been nauseous all evening. I did manage to keep down some cream of wheat, but I'm still having diarrhea ( I am seriously miserable

Surgery 9/24/12 344

I am almost 3 weeks post op and feeling good starting at a gym tomorrow for cardio then strength training in 2 weeks. Starting work back on Oct 10th which I kinda can't wait for I been kinda bored at home. I work in a ER though so I'm sure once I'm back ill want to leave again. Will have to bring my lunches which I have never been good at so it will probable be protein drinks and simple stuff to bring. Pain is pretty much all gone now and feeling like my normal self.

I know this is very personal but when are we allowed to have sex...... Does anyone know

Didn't talk to my Dr. about sex but I'm 10 days post op and gave it a whirl. Wasn't to bad just used a lot of pillows and our imagination to keep me comfortable.
