I am set for the 25 th

I have done about half my pre op requirements

Psychiatric evaluation - check

EGD / colonoscopy - check

sleep study- check

Cardiology clearence- check

GI consult- check

Pre op education program - 1 class to go

Final doctor appointment

Final two dietician meetings

Official insurance clearence

Chest X-ray

EKG

Blood work

** these must be done within 30 days of surgery**

Appointment with IVC filter doctor

IVC filter placed 3 days before surgery

Pick up incentive spirometer and surgery bag

OUCH!! Why didn't your doctor numb it first? That's crazy! Being in pain and having an infection is no fun. I hope you're back on the mend and feeling better soon!

Thank u Maria she said oh u won't even feel it just relief from the pressure. Uh no i felt it and she finally numbed it. Im feeling alot better today pain wise now the nausea seems to be kicking in probably because of the strong antibiotic

Glad you're feeling better today. If it makes you feel any better, I've been nauseous the past two days too. Maybe for a different reason, but you're not alone!! Finally starting to get my shoulder pain under control and now nausea. Blah!!

I got a call from the hospital nurse, good news i will be the first case of the day and go to the bariatric surgical floor. I am waiting on the "clearance " letter from the infectious disease doc. I specified the language i needed and he agreed to write it up with provisions for if i am positive or negative on the repeat swabs. I called the office and the surgical coordinator is calling me back after she talks to the doc.

Back from the doctors visit in so much pain like I suspected I have an infection and she had to re open my incision without numbing it 1st to drain it!!! I thought I was going to pass out!!

Ouch that must have been SO painful! I wish you a speedy recovery
