I have done about half my pre op requirements

Psychiatric evaluation - check

EGD / colonoscopy - check

sleep study- check

Cardiology clearence- check

GI consult- check

Pre op education program - 1 class to go

Final doctor appointment

Final two dietician meetings

Official insurance clearence

Chest X-ray

EKG

Blood work

** these must be done within 30 days of surgery**

Appointment with IVC filter doctor

IVC filter placed 3 days before surgery

Pick up incentive spirometer and surgery bag

Surgery in less than 12 hours. All prayers welcome and much appreciated

Jessica you are right we will have to see if a moderator can move us November 1 st to the post op thread wow just think about that in less then a month at least 36 people wil be on their way!

Thanks for all the prayers. My thoughts will be with all of my surgery buddies tomorrow as well. I have to be at the hospital at 735 for a 935 surgery. Today has been really emotional, not because I am scared but I have been overwhelmed at the amount of support I have been given. I chose initially to only tell a few people but in the end I have decided I am doing nothing to be ashamed of and have decided to be honest when asked about my surgery. I made a decision that will improve my life....and the journey is reaching its first stop. I look forward to hearing of others journey as I share mine.

Thank you! Its already tomorrow here and im 5 minutes from the hospital - and strangly calm!

Maybe once September is over' date=' we can continue our September Members in the post op forum. Maybe we can keep up with each other that way and continue to encourage one another. Surgery is just the beginning of this journey. We could post pics and see each others progress. I'm so thankful I found all of you. Just knowing someone is out there that knows how I feel makes a world of difference....

I completely agree with you Jessica. We should start a September thread for post-po. We can definately support each other all the way through this amazing change.

It is so crazy to me that we will all hopefully be post op in less then a month! Hope everyone is doing well!
