  1. The scale hasnt moved for me this week either. It is hard to accept because I am only five weeks out! I have started going to the gym so I am trying to focus on making working out a habit so that I am not worrying so much about the scale.
  2. My insurance only covers rny and the lap band. With the amount of weight I have to lose, I felt the rny was my best option.
  3. I would like to be added to the facebook group. My name is Jessica Brown. Email is msjayebrown@gmail.com. On another topic. I am having a hard time getting 60g of Protein in plus liquids. I am never hungry. I just don't want to eat. Tomorrow will be one month for me and I feel like I should be adjusting to eating (soft foods) better by now.
  4. Hi guys! I haven't posted a lot but I have been keeping up with everyone's progress. Isla I hope everything goes well for you at your appointment and that you are able to have surgery. I had my two week postop appointment today and was cleared for soft foods and to go back to work. I still need to work on protein intake. Hopefully it will be easier with soft foods. I am down 12 pounds which is good but I had hoped for more. Just wanted to check in and let you guys know that you all are in my thoughts! Jessica B.
  5. Three months...they wanted to do it sooner but I had scheduling conflicts.
  6. I am on full liquids for two weeks. The only thing that I don't really like is sugar free Popsicles. After liquids I move to soft foods until 3 months out. Like others I have been having pain in my chest. Depending on when I get it I know it is either gas or I drank too fast. The gas x strips have been a lifesaver for me. Who knew gas pains could be so brutual?
  7. My name is Jessica starting weight 329....highest weight 341...could someone add it to the chart?
  8. I am finally home! I could have been released yesterday but because of the pain I decided to stay an extra day. Everything is going well! Sipping and walking are taking up most of my time!
  9. Thanks for all the prayers. My thoughts will be with all of my surgery buddies tomorrow as well. I have to be at the hospital at 735 for a 935 surgery. Today has been really emotional, not because I am scared but I have been overwhelmed at the amount of support I have been given. I chose initially to only tell a few people but in the end I have decided I am doing nothing to be ashamed of and have decided to be honest when asked about my surgery. I made a decision that will improve my life....and the journey is reaching its first stop. I look forward to hearing of others journey as I share mine. Jessica B.
  10. Thanks! I wish I knew the time, they will be calling me tomorrow to let me know. Hopefully its early. I guess the downside of not having to do the liquid preop diet is I have no idea what I am in store for tomorrow. I can eat sf Jello so hopefully that will help if I get cranky.
  11. I am new to the forum. I am having surgery Sept 5th. I did not have to do a preop diet just a bowel cleanse the day before with Clear Liquids. Jessica
