Finally recovered from tummy tuck & Breast Lift

Recommended Posts

How exciting. You are so right about this being a part of the WL journey. I am having a lift/reduction on Monday I'm so excited about it yet terrified at the same time.

I hope to have a Tummy Tuck in November.

Isthis a surgery that you are glad you did while the weather is still cold outside. I am thinking November because I fear that if it is to warm out I will be even more uncomfortable.

Since I'm in Texas, there is no such thing as cold weather! :o

Make sure to have tons of strechy pants and tops that will button or zip all the way up front. Lift your arms is not comfortable for most people. I didn't have trouble but I know some people do. The doctor said no jeans for at least 6 weeks so I am now the sweatpant queen.

Also, take a pillow with you for the ride home. You want to be as comfortable as possible and you should be waited on hand and foot. Make sure your care giver knows that!

Glad you're feeling better Spydr. If you don't mind me asking, who did your surgery and how much was it?

When I get done, I'm thinking TT and BL, at the minimum, and arm lift if I can swing it.

My doctor is David Liland at Park Cities Plastic Surgery. His website is www.drliland.com. I paid $9500 cash for the skin removal, full Tummy Tuck and major breast lift. I got a deal since I paid cash upfront and did both procedures at the same time. I plan to back in the fall for my arms and thighs.

The staff is great and the doc takes good care of me.

wow lots of changes while I was gone.

How are "the girls" girls??? lol haha

Have you noticed the heavy firmness almost too much? It is finally gone and they feel soft yet firm. wierd. went bra shopping yep, 36c and cute bras from Victoria Secrets. They have 1 no underwire and it is nice.

spydr, 7lbs, dang thats great, I cant even remember how I looked before but I do stand and admire the total flat, even hips sticking out. In the morning all is great, but I do swell some by evening. I sleep in the girdle thing some nights as it feels tighter and better for some reason. Are you wearing the girddle? are you drains out now?

UPDATE< UPDATE, gotta know how your doing!

My doc took out the drain yesterday and I feel so much better. Was not prepared for the "weeping" from the drain site but that has ended now. Some of the swelling is going dow on the "twins" but they still feel very firm. I'm not ready to shop until I am done with swelling.

I wear a sports bra and bind around the belly at all times. The binder has to be tightened through out the day to help reduce swelling. This is important now since the drain is out and I don't have the suction.

I am posting a different thread to ask about pictures but will send them to anyone who shows a true interest. They are pretty graphic!

dont even try a bra for awhile, but when you do, remember the victoria secrets one without wires. I find that a spandex built in bra tank shirt is great. it is comfortable and supportive. the sports bras I wore at first got too big and I was sick of them by about week 6. doc said, support, support, support. I asked and showed him the ones I like and he approved, thank goodness I needed the change. when your ready try one of them. I also got them at victoria secrets. I wear a 36c and the tank size in M and does well just for comparrison sake.

Oh the drains, didnt that removal just make such a difference. I couldnt believe it. I still have pretty tender scars where they came out. I still wear the binder at night sometimes. and when I work out every time, I still need the ""binding" I do notice the swelling is gone in morning after I sleep in the binder. doc said wear whenever I felt I needed to.

what thread has pics, I wanna see????

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
