Hey, Lisa: It seems to me that if they want to avoid medi- mal practice insurance problems then they would not touch you at all. The minute they touch you for anything they take on your care. Even if it is for a fill. That is my understanding. It sounds like they just don't want to deal with another surgeons patient period.

I still say you should get Dr. Billy set up as your doc. Get an appt and then go see him. My insurance is covering my visits so far. Yours might too.

Penni, my insurance doesn't cover the band, so they certainly won't cover port replacement? I'd be at Dr. Billy's in a heartbeat. There's no possible way I can afford Billy. He's twice the cost of Kuri, who'll be about $2 grand for port replacement and travel. Billy would charge $2 grand just for the hospital, plus his fee, anesthesia, and travel. If I had that kinda dough, I'd have had the band placed locally from the getgo.

Billy said he'd take me on with no problem... oh, except the problem of he wants money, and lots of it! There's no possible way. If I had my port, it might be a different story, but until I heal, it's a moot point anyway. I haven't even paid Kuri for the removal yet. So If I don't have $800, and I don't have $2000, then where am I gonna get $4000? Unless I record my version of "Like a Virgin" in John's studio and it rips to number one, but William Hung already cornered that market and stole my chance.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
