I Reached My 7Th Month Today

Recommended Posts

I have been jumping back and for with my weight from 200 to 202. I have currently lost approximately 104 lbs depending on how I fluctuate. Also lost 44 inches. I am proud of myself but can't get out of the 200s.

Last week, I was able to fit both of my kids plus myself in a pair on my old pants. I was shocked, they were excited for me.

Congrats all! After 12 years and 167 lbs since my surgery, i finally had my abdominalplasty (tummy tuck) done on Monday.... cant believe the difference, amazing. Even though still swollen and drains still in, i cant believe my waist size now. To answer your questions, all went well and yes it was and is more painful than the original bypass! Ouch!

Hello can I see your belly after your drain & swollen goes down? Much much did you pay? Are you having any other surgeries? I want boob lift & Tummy Tuck, but hubby is only alouding me to have tummy tuck. I'm trying to convience him to let me get both, but this is in about 2 years when I reach my goal & that's when my surgeon is letting me have more surgery.

Woooowwww! 104 lbs in 7 months! :). Impressive. Sorry to hear about your plateau but if you are patient I am sure you will prevail. Congratulations on your substantial weight loss.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
