Sorry to hear who you work for Lady K. Hope you dont have to finger print much freight it is good exersice. But you have to deal with Union grocery wharehoues employes again sorry did that don't ever want to do that again would rather go though RNY again. After 35 years in a big truck I'm ready to give it up but I got a great paying some what local driving job working for a non union over night company the money is to good to give up. And I'm 7 years 348 days 12 hours way from retirement give me a min and I can get that down to the seconds for you

If you like who you work for thats all that matters

The only advise I can give is ( You can always change the company you work for but the crap still taste the same no matter where you go)

Be happy and keep lossing the weight

LOL... Yep, SSDD no matter which starter company... We are saving to purchase our own, however, being self employed AND having a pre-existing condition (RNY) health insurance is out of our range... Might have to go back (at a different company) to being company drivers... Wouldn't break my heart, but my husband likes being an 'O/O' even if it is with a lease... Sigh...

Everybody does their own thing if what you are doing makes you happy that's all that matters. Don't worry about what others say or think. I only impress my wife and kids I don't care what others think of me ( life is not a contest) Becuse when your dead having 500 people at your funeral not going to help you out any besides you will never know. I don't hate your company you work for I don't know them. What I hate is Grocery warehouses and the Union attitude

I did the o/o thing I worked more then. I'm happy being a company driver making 70 grand a year I fell into this job by accident and won't quit till retirement 7 years 347 days away.

just be happy and health that's all that matters

I'm from south Orange County' date=' CA

My paperwork was sent in for insurance approval on Friday 8/10/12. I am going through the practice of Dr. Leport in Fountain Valley.

I have Anthem Blue Cross PPO and I'm hoping the approval goes through quickly.

I have BMI of 41 & have high blood pressure and diabetes.

Are there any other So CA members out there?[/quote']

I had my surgery through Dr Laporte's practice as well. Dr Iqbal did my surgery. I also have Anthem and it only took me a month from the date of my first office visit until my surgery date. My BMI was 40.1 and I had absolutely no problem getting approved.

I had my surgery at Chapman in Orange. Where will you have yours?

Jen in So Cal- I'm still waiting on Anthem BC approval. They said when I called on Tuesday that there should be an answer by Monday 8/20. I am hopeful that I get approved vs denied. After reading all the different situations on here, I'm not sure what to expect. I was told by the center that I have excellent coverage and it should be no problem and the lady at the insurance said it sounded like I should be approved but until it's done there is no guarantee. So I wait :(

It's nice to find someone here that had surgery with the same practice, I haven't chosen my surgeon yet.

Have you had any major problems or complaints?

Has the center been there for you like they say they will?

Anything I should know?

I appreciate any help given!

Congrats and good health!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
