Let the Cutting Begin! ;)

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Bandlanders! Hope all is well with each of you and that 2007 is looking great! I have some good news:

I will be having plastic surgery on February 23rd at 8a to lift the twins and cut an ugly apron of fat from my belly! It has been a long time coming and I can't wait to start this next step in my extreme body makeover.

I am proof that the LapBand does work. There are tough times (PB) but they are all worth it in the end. My body did shrink and now, well, let's just say I'm feeling like a whole new person.

I just wanted to share some good news as we can't get enough of good news. Keep on keeping on everyone and just know that the light at the end of the tunnel is not always a train!

Spydr,

I'm having the same thing done, but one month later (I'm a few lbs behind you and my doc wants me at 185 before TT). Tummy Tuck and mastopexy on March 28th. If you would keep me informed about the little details along the way that I might not have read about, I'd love you forever!

Take care,

I had a breast lift with "enhancements" a few years ago. I wanted to share a few things, just in case you are interested.

Don't freak out right after surgery, you will be bruised and swollen. The scars from the breast lift are big, and it will feel like it takes a long time for them to fade, but trust me, they do. Unless you are really close you can't even see mine. If your doctor puts the steristrip things on, try to keep them on as long as possible (usually until a follow up appointment) this will help the scar to be much thinner and less noticable.

Good luck!

Thank you all for the good wishes and advice. It can't get here fast enough. I'm a bit worried about the pain but I think it will be worth it in the end. I'll keep you in the loop!

spydr,

Tummy Tuck & breast lift done the18th. My recommendation would be to work out very faithfully and stregnthen your legs and lower back as these two muscles support you for your recovery time. The pain is not near what you would expect. The nerves are cut so you dont feel much there. the pain I had was first from the drains in my r breast and the stitches holding the muscles together forming the"six pack"

I am 12 days out and feel great. I get tired easier that I thought and my back does ache as I cannot stand straight yet. As your inner muscles heal you can stand straighter but dont rush it or hands above head. If you feel a stain STOP

Do you both have really good care person for afterwards? My husband is taking great care, but it is overwhelming for him. You will not be able to stand or sit without him. potty and showering for the first few days. Lucky me got my monthly visitor the day after surgery so I delt with that too as some things a girl must do on her own.

By Tuesday- day 5 I felt better really try to stregnthen your back and legs. Best of luck to you if I can answer any questions or help let me know it is wonderful to see the results so fast. the girls were in place the first time I saw and that made this all worth it!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
