If you lost 143 lbs and you're only 198 won't you lose too much weight getting the bypass?

I was wondering the same thing. Are you really petite? I thought you had to be at least 100 lbs overweight to have rny....good luck with your surgery though and congrats on your tremendous weight loss on your own! You almost beat the biggest loser! Lol!: )

Good luck with your surgery and way to go for being able to lose the weight you did. That's quite incredible.

I'm having doubts lately about having surgery. There is nobody that is talking me out of it except myself. Since march I have lost over 20 lbs on my own. I'm doing it for myself, by myself. Know the surgery would work but I don't know if I'm at the point in my life where I can go through with it. With these doubts I will not undergo surgery. I will however finish all my preop requirements so that if I change my mind in the near future I'll be able to get it done. I wish you all the best. Thank you for being there for me, and for each other.

I feel like you're making a good decision. You shouldn't have this surgery unless YOU feel you are ready for it. It is definitely life changing. If you're not ready for that right now, it's best to hold off. Best of luck to you on your continuing weight loss. Please stay a part of this forum family.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
